Veteran Nollywood actor Olumide Bakare is between life and death at the UCH hospital on Secretariat road near total garden in Ibadan Oyo State.
As at today, the actor who is now bedridden has accrued huge medical bills as his condition worsens on a daily basis.
He has been placed on life support due to malfunctioning heart and lungs.
As at the time of this report, Mr Bakare needs 30,000 daily for treatment.
Olumide Bakare was rushed to UCH last week and since then, the actor said he has spent over N200,000.
He is calling on kind-hearted Nigerians to come to his aid financially.
Hear his plea:
“My strength is not enough to withstand this any longer. Help me to beg the children of Nigeria that they should render both financial support and prayers to me.”

Did this man just asked for assistance over his deteriorating health condition? Sorry don’t want to sound mean, but he once said there is no shaking for his unrepentant humanizing,drinking and smoking habitats which he has engaged in for over 45years!
So,how come he is now begging. Thought he has all the money in the world or how has he been satisfying his sinful habits?

Sad that his life is becoming short lived. we should not judge him like one commented that its due to reckless lifestyle. in my own opinion i doubt so cos he’s suffering from a heart and lung failure which could be caused a clinical problem. but again my concern is if hes a former actor where are his savings he made while he was popular?
We should learn to save for the good times not the bad times

So what has his being “promiscuous” got to do with his illness? Do you know what will befall you tomorrow? If you cannot help him, for God’s sake, shut up. We can pray for people, rather than rejoice at their misfortune. Is anyone immune from cancer? I am not saying that he has cancer, just using it as an example. Babies and young children are diagnosed with cancer daily, what sin did they commit to deserve it? As for his children, do you know what they are going through or how much money they earn? Once sickness sets in, it depletes people’s life time savings. So if you don’t wish it upon yourself, desist from judging others or rejoicing at their predicament. Your turn is coming, who knows tomorrow?

@Lola, I am not immoral so I can never celebrate immorality. Leave your sentiments and b reasonable. That people who don’t engage in vices do suffer the same fate is agreeable.But a man who should help the younger ones to be upright now inciting them in the other way is devastating. That is my opinion but u are entitled to yours. As regards what u say about what can come tomorrow by God I will never dare God. That is why I am prayerful and conscious of what I do.so whatever happens in future it is destiny. I rest my case.

May God forgive his past sins and use his healing as a stepping stone into a changed and decent lifestyle. I know he was boasted about sleeping around, smoking and drinking with no regrets but I pray this situation will change his erstwhile reckless living and make him give testimonies one day. His colleagues should rally round to save his life.

“I have not out-rightly stopped but I have slowed down. I don’t know how to tell lies. I still smoke and drink. I still find time to sleep with women. But the truth is that I am not doing all these things as before. And the fact still remains that I am not properly married”
“Let me tell you one thing about life. God doesn’t care about habit but your heart. How clean is your heart to God and people around you? How do you sail across the ocean of your life and all that? All these are what God cares about. It is not about whether you smoke or drink. Even those who don’t smoke and drink, worse things happen to them. I am a very straight forward person I have been in all these habits for about 45 years and I want to tell you, no shaking”.
