September 9, 2016 – Pictures: 9 Month Old Baby Abandoned By Parents Found Crawling On Ikeja Lagos Road
Lagos Police officials have rescued a baby boy found on a busy street in the Government Reserved area of Ikeja on Tuesday
The baby was found wandering at Aro Shodiya street around 2pm by policemen on patrol on the aforementioned date before he was rescued.
Lagos Police CP, Owoseni appealed to parents to do their best to take good care of their children.
As at the time of this report, nobody has come forward to claim ownership of this child.
Hope a good Samaritan will come forward to adopt this innocent boy.

The child must have wandered off when the person who was supposed to be in charge was not looking. From the look of it, the child is well cared for so it is doubtful if he is “abandoned”. It could be apprehension of beig punished for the carelessness occassioning the situation that has kept the family from coming forward and particularly so if they anticipate monetary implications and they have no money.
Announcement on television might help as even where parents do not come forward, neighbors might recognize the child and give useful information for the family to be traced. Only after failing to trace the family should adoption be resorted to. The Social Welfare or Women Affairs Ministry can help with the upkeep of the boy until things are sorted out.

NOT AGAIN .This baby is not up to a year and can’t walk so it will take time for him to go that far.
How busy is the mom or family members?
There’s no excuse in this world for such carelessness.
What if he was crushed by a car because of his size ?
This carelessness is out of this world. Someone have been with this child and know how freely he moves. That alone is enough to monitor him and keep him by their side.
And nobody seems to knows him when he was out to alert his people before the police came to the help.
I don’t like it when kids go through such.
Am so disappointed with his family.

From my point of view, a Lady was impregnated. The supposed father, not interested. She couldn’t abort the baby, because she wa adviced not to do so. The Lady in question hawk herbs. After giving birth to the baby, life seems to be very very difficult for her. She was adviced or she decided to give the baby away in such a wicked way. Not considering, things will be better, cos its just a matter of time. Some wants a child at all cost and some got it cheaply. God let your name be praised. Hmmm, I wish Lagos state Governor can adpot this baby.
