December 12, 2016 – Pictures: Uyo Church Founder Bishop Akan Weeks Injured Leg To Be Amputated As Enthronement Service Becomes Death Trap
The founder of Reigners Bible Church in Uyo has become a subject of mockery after his church came down on the day of his enthronement.
Apostle Akan Weeks was looking forward to being enthroned (in his own terms) as the founder and Bishop in charge of Reigners Bible Church on village road in Uyo when an unexpected tragedy struck.
One of his critics took to his official FB page shortly after the incident to warn him against using the word “Enthronement” because he is not God.
To add insult to injury, Akan Weeks camp released a photo of the cleric sitting on a chair with white bandage on his left leg while announcing that his left leg is set for amputation.
Trust Nigerians, they quickly took to the social media to accuse the church founder of framing up his amputation story in order to attract sympathy.
Many believed Akan Weeks framed up the story to escape being prosecuted for the death of over 100 church members and guests who came to his ordination on Saturday.
Meanwhile, one of the guests who suffered minor injury in the tragedy has been identified as Bishop Andrew Unwanta. He is expected to be discharged from the hospital soon.
