Radio Biafra Banned In Nigeria For Inciting War With Seditious Content, Nnamdi Kanu Declared Wanted
The FG said today that it has blocked the illegal transmission signals of Radio Biafra.
According to Folasade Esan, The Permanent Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Information, Radio Biafra had been operating on the Nigerian airwaves without a license for several years.
She said Buhari has been briefed on the illegal activities of the radio station.
“We also gave a report on (Radio Biafra) that because right now the signals from Radio Biafra have been jammed. The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has successfully jammed that. The NBC is also working with security operatives to get those that are behind that radio because it is an illegal radio. “It is not licensed by anybody to be on Nigeria’s airwaves. – Folashade added
Radio Biafra that started by a UK-based Nigerian man, Nnamdi Kanu few years ago has been operating from an unknown location in River States for many years.
The station is popularly for inciting war.
The Federal Government has declared the sponsors of Radio Biafra wanted.
As at the time of this report, Radio Biafra station in Abia is still live.

I don’t know the motive behind Nnamdi Kanu illegal radio station operation in Nigeria. But if the motive is to promote peaceful existence of all Nigerians and to advance Igbo people culture, then it should be license legally by NBC to operate. However, if it to promote hate, tribal sentiments, and division in Nigeria, it should be banned forever. I believe that brother Nnamdi was not born during the period of Biafra war, he that has never taste the bitter side of war ignorantly calls for war. Nigeria is moving forward and no evil agenda, group or radio station can split our beloved nation.

I’ve always thought our noisy neighbours have learnt enough lessons from the needless civil war they lost to the Nigerian nation. This recalcitrant attitude is all the reasons why Nigerians will continue to deal with them with a lot of suspecions and caution. Igbos fought a 3 year Biafran war without success and, got reintegrated into Nigeria with the collective compassions of all Nigerians. The second phase of Biafran war now embarked upon is an empty and loud rhetorics that leads Easterners nowhere either than continous and further relegation of the entire Igbo race into political doldrums. The damage and the scar that the war inflicted on the Igbos are visible in all parts of Nigeria by the manner Igbo youth have abandoned their home States in search of greener pastures in all street corners of Nigeria and, have thus become normads in their own country which, they unashamely termed migrations of young business minded Easterners, albeit under the cover of trading, most of whom are into criminal activities. These are people who love to tickle themselves and laugh, they claim to own 90% of properties in Lagos, on which without their tax money Lagos cannot survive as a buoyant State. They also claim to own 80% of Abuja and yet, before the 2015 general elections, they remain the only tribe that entertained marginalisation and fear of persecutions if the opposition ever won the elections; hense their pattern of voting all over the country. Have the Igbos ever thought of their strategies on how to relate and co-exist peacefully with other tribes in a complex multi tribal nation as Nigeria, rather than their extremist pro-Biafran mentality they continue to pursue.? If their self conceited bragging of owning 90% of Nigerian wealth and properties in all Nigerian major cities is ever true, then they need to rethink their Biafran strategy. It may never work in their collective interest as a tribe afterall.

@bolaji you should be a very *****without directions for calling Igbo people names. why can’t you adress the issue as it comes than insulting the Igbo people. look at kettle like you calling the Igbo’s pot. Do you want to tell me that you are residing in your home land.
I can not insult yoruba people because of your baseless and useless comments. Do you think your people is better than Igbo people that you will come to the forum here and start abusing Igbo people as if you are better than them. you better get a better life than this one you are having. There is no doubt that you are tribalist in nature.who are you to judge the Igbos? you are simply being jealous of their achievements and hardworking.

@Chic, you can continue to decieve yourself as haven owned the entire Nigeria b’cos empty bragging is a stock in trade of your people and Nigerians know the Igbos for that. Nigerians are yet to see Igbo wealth reflect in the development of their Eastern home states anyway.

Let there be peace my people!!! Whether Igbo, Housa or Youruba!! Let there be peace!! Why can’t you love one another and live in peace with one another? What kind of joy does it give you seeing your Housa! Igbo or Yoruba brother being punishment, marginalized or oppressed. Where there is love peace is assured and where there is peace there you must see growth and development in all areas of life. Injustice and marginalization, in turn, breeds hate, grievances and lack of trust and eventually leads to war and disintegration. If we must be together then it must be in peace for nature has made it in that way. No peace no togetherness! For there to be togetherness esterblished on lasting peace there must be a sincere extirpation of all forms of injustice against any tribe! !!!
The last stanzas of our national anthem expresses her golden dream of building a ” NATION WHERE PEACE AND JUSTICE SHALL REIGN” and our knowledge of “SOCIOLOGY” as an academic field of study teaches us that the onle ground for every solid and pragmatic unity is the conventional ( communal) pursuit of one gaol for the good and benefit of all. And the ground for disintegration of every unity and togetherness has always be the failure to meet a targeted gaol.
Establishing on this theory now unmask the hidden sinister or vital force behind Nigeria socioeconomic stagnation, Political and religious crisis and socio-ethnic war( Biafrian war) squabbling and ceaseless effort for disintegration and cessation as seen in the case of our brothers Igbo. All these problems gears towards an unmet goal for our togetherness being building a ” NATIONA WHERE PEACE AND JUSTICE SHALL REIGN” . Not until we sincerely make a U-turn to building Nigeria into a Nation where peace, Justice, equty, understanding, brotherly love and care for one another reigns which happens to be our common goal for togetherness then Nigeria shall remain and unfulfilled project and a shadow of itself.
Long live Housa brothers! Long live Youroba; our nations pride of ancient sculptures and crafts, Long live great Igbos of Nigeria; our nation’s pride of industry and enterprise! Long live all our other great sister tribes that inform our great future and hope. Long live Nigeria!
We are brothers let live in peace!

White lies! I still hear the radio everyday from the internet and Nigerian radio station app! Nigeria government is not telling the truth, they only went to their station on satellite in Israel to acquire or buy the station with billions of our hard earned Naira (money they supposed to use in creating jobs for roaming Nigerian graduates, they are bunch of fools, dummies, dullards and well recognized idiots)! Sentiments aside and the truth be told, If having Biafra is the lasting peace or solutions that Nigeria needs right now, let there be BIAFRA COUNTRY….Also,we must remember and be considerate, these Ibos own most of the resources we are all relying on today. Has any of us critically and sincerely read the biafra war history- to see that these Ibos were really really slaughtered and cheated- denying the children and women the medical assistance they needed after the senseless War ? …One conclusion I result to, if Biafra country liberation is going to bring the lasting peace we are all yawning for, then, Let there be BIAFRA COUNTRY. To Biafrans, please, do this without bloodshed … Thanks. Olawale( A full-fledged Yoruba).

I saw this and thought I should say something, simply because I love my country Nigeria, I have a company where I work daily with Ibos, I love them so much. I witnessed what happened to the Ibos during the civil war.And right now I do not personally wish to see any of them dying unnecessarily because of one man’s ambition. We have a National day of reconciliation planned this year and will like all peace-loving Nigerians to please join us to make this happen, we all need to apologize to our brothers and sisters (The Ibos) for peace to reign in our beloveth country.Should we allow errors of the past to destroy our future? no, time to think together, Nigeria belong to all of us.
