Regina Chukwu: My Nollywood Sex Scenes Were Edited Because Of My Children & Religious Nigerians
By PotPourri
Popular Nollywood actress Regina Chukwu has revealed that making adult Nollywood scene is not a taboo for her.
In a chat with PotPourri, the Enugu-born mother of two said she can accept any role as long as the interest of her children will be protected in the future.
When asked if she can accept nude role, the actress answered in the affirmative.
Her response:
“Why not? I have done it one or two times in the past. Acting is make-belief so you have to be comfortable when you’re doing it and you also have to take into consideration that our society does not really support some things; they may just condemn you for doing some things but that does not mean we would not do it.
We only have to be considerate when we’re doing it. There was this movie I shot where we were supposed to be making love; I mean serious lovemaking. After the director did it, and everything, I made sure they did a kind of behind-the-scene shoot to show people I wasn’t really naked as the movie portrayed. I was actually wearing clothes but the editing got people thinking I was really naked.
I always make sure this is done because of my children, they are kids and would not understand. I made them do a behind the scene so that when we finish, people can see that so many people were in the room while we were doing it”.
Though Regina Chukwu is an Igbo woman, she has become a household names in the Yoruba movie industry as her footprints in acting can only be found alongside top Yoruba actors.

I DON’T KNOW WHAT IS WRONG WITH AFRICANS ESPECIALLY GHANA, AND NIGERIA?
WHY COPY WESTERN WORLD?
IS MAKING LOVE OUR CULTURE OR ARE WE TRYING TO TEACH WESTERN WORLD THAT WE TOO CAN MAKE LOVE IN MOVIES?
WE ARE AFRICANS, LET’S SHOWCASE OUR CULTURE.

Must there be sex scenes in our movies before we believe they will appeal to people? These so called make believe is what our young ones are actually believing and going hay wire. Why not do make believe of NO SEX? It is almost impossible to watch our local movies with the kids anymore. They are either full of nudity, sex, rubbish talk or madness. So pls, what is cultural about these?
