Policeman Lynched By Angry Mob While Rescuing Driver
At least 3 persons, 2 Muslim worshippers and policeman were today killed with about 12 others injured when a truck conveying wood logs to an unknown destination crashed into Muslim worshippers returning home after Eid El Kabir prayer.
The incident which happened in Ijebu Igbo town in Ogun state today caused tension as a policeman trying to rescue the driver of the truck was stoned to death.
Ogun Police PPRO who confirmed the incident said the lynched officer was an orderly to a DPO in Ijebu Igbo.
