Nigerian Musician Teni Explains Why She Mentions Dangote and Otedola In Her Songs
Nigerian musician ‘Teniola Apata’, popularly known as ‘Teni’, has explained the reason why she calls the names of popular Nigerian billionaires in her songs.
The award winning artiste just dropped a new hit titled ‘Billionaire’, where she again mentioned the names of the popular Nigerian billionaires ‘Aliko Dangote’, and ‘Femi Otedola’.
This is already going round the internet, as a lot of people are of the opinion, that she does this to get money from these rich men.
When asked why she always mention these names in her songs, she said it is because she wants a lot of people to relate more with these Nigerian billionaires, as she believes it is her own way of encouraging people to lead their best lives, so they can achieve their goals, and enjoy the fruits of their hard work.
While speaking further, she said life has its challenges, but one needs to take a break and enjoy once in a while.
Teni won three awards at the Nigerian Music Awards (Headies 2019 Edition).
She’s the winner of Headies Viewer’s Choice, Best Pop Single, and Best Recording of the Year Awards.
