April 6, 2015 – Uche Jombo Replies Kunle Afolayan’s Igbo Piracy Tweets, Tells Him To Accept Piracy As A War

Few hours ago, Nollywood actress Uche Jombo bashed his colleague, film maker Kunle Afolayan for insulting her people over movie piracy in Nigeria.

The actress told Kunle Afolayan to accept the fact that piracy is an issue most Nollywood film producers are facing.

See her twitter rants below:

Comedian Alibaba also took to Twitter to defend Kunle Afolayan

He said: @kunleafolayan WHEN I TALK SAY NA OUR PROBLEM BE THESE, SOME YORUBA EGBONS TOLD ME TO SHUT UP. THEN AMAKA IGWE CAME TO MY RESCUE. I FEEL YOU

BY THE WAY I KNOW @kunleafolayan HE IS A DETRIBALIZED GUY… HE WAS JUST IN THE THROES OF PAIN FRON THE LOST REVENUE. HE HAS APOLOGIZED

Kunle Afolayan then offered an official apology to the Igbo people he initially insulted

In his words:

I am a patriotic Nigerian and that I portray in all my movies. Phone swap is even more of Igbo film than any other tribe. Again. I am sorry
Finally, I stand to say my grievances has got nothing to do with the trending Oba’s statement. It all came out of frustration. Sorry guys.

Nigerians let’s be sensitive to each others’ feeling. Let’s get rid of all these insults. It will take us nowhere. Nigeria can never be united with tribalism and hatred.

God bless us.

Uche are you happy that your criminal brothers and sisters are pirating movies.
Instead of correcting Kunle and the pirates, you are busy running your mouth like tap water.
I’m from Edo and we don’t support piracy

Look who’s is talking, you are from edo and you infidel is calling Igbos criminal, hahaha…. I cant laugh enough, when Mrs Buhari called edo woman prostitutes your people were protesting, but guess what, is it true or not ? answer it yourself, when they tag edo the most criminalized place in Nigeria, your people protested, but guess what, is it true or not ? you know the answer, what annoys me most is that people will be talking Igbos go back to your place, but yet the Nigeria Gov wont let them go, I wonder why, if its one Nigeria guess no one has single right to tell any one to go back to his or her place, you know it 101 percent that Igbos are ready any time any day to quit this cabal entity called Nigeria, but it must happen one day, all of you who abuse Igbos will eat your word, know it that Igbo man can survive any where any time any day with nothing as in the case of Nigeria after the war, Banza, bingo or *****l time, I am glade to borrow this word from Colly and it suits you well, as for @me I don’t want to face you but be guided

None of U shameless tribalistic fools are even talking about piracy and the havoc done; day-in-day-out by the Alaba traders;who are mainly Igbo traders-You are all just busy defending ur tribe shamelessly.
So does it mean its ok for ur people to pirate the work of other people?
AY-too complained about piracy….all Igbos abusing Kunle, should be ashamed of themselves for supporting piracy bcos it involves the Igbo people.

All of u ****castigating a particular tribe for what 99 % of Nigerians do are ****. Even ur own brothers nd sisters r part of the piracy problem. u don’t have to be in Alaba to be part of the piracy problem. Just buying it from a street vendor makes u a pirate also. now look at urself. r u igbo? Is it only igbos that do this? If ur answer is no then u know y so many people find what Kunle said very disheartening. Am sure Kunle nd 98 percent of most actors and actresses in Nigeria nd dare i say Africa owns a pirated movie in their houses so it is not just a tribe that shud be blamed but the people of Nigeria nd those that patronize these so called pirator whom come from all tribe In nigeria.that’s y am vexed with what he said cause piracy has no tribe nd he is just being simple minded fool nd a tribalistic man nd all those that support him I have no words for u except that “birds of the same feather, flock together”
