Nov 15, 2014 – Wizkid: I’m Not Proud, I Invest My Money In Properties  & Gold Jewellery

In a recent chat with Funsho Arogundade, Nigerian hip hop singer, Ayo Balogun aka Wizkid addresses rumour surrounding his personality and his recent acquisition of expensive gold jewelry.

On how he spends his money, Wizkid said:

“I invest heavily in properties and jewelry. I spend more on gold. I have heard some people say they are vanities but I tell you, they are very good investment.

On his rumoured arrogance and terrible personality, the singer said:

“Well, everyone is entitled to his or her opinion. And you should also check those who claim I am a terrible person. I am not and my people know that. Whatever any one feels, he should not blame me for it. Everyone cannot like you; same as everyone cannot hate you. I am just being me and also being a good person. Fame has not changed me; it only added some accessories to my collections. People say I am arrogant and it does not bother me because I still show my fans love and they do same in return.”

Wizkid was arrested in Nairobi Kenya few weeks ago for smoking marijuana in a non-smoking hotel.

Ayo Balogun or is it “UNWISE-KID “that they call U….I’m not sure U understand the meaning of that middle finger sign in ur photograph.
This shows that u r still very unwise and still a kid.
I do not have any problem with U because I don’t know u personally neither have I had any dealings with u to warrant any dislike for you .
I love your songs and admire ur God given talent …But I think that pose in the picture is very cheeky, unwise , immature and above all its very insulting to ur fans.

I like you Wizkid, but if you are a true business man, then gold won’t be where most of ur money goes, ok let’s face some facts, u can’t buy golds worth 200million naira u and I know that, so if gold is channels then am sorry to say but ur not as rich as people think. Just saying, No hate cos I do love ur spirit n hard work . I AV jewelries too but making it an investment is way out of the line cos it appreciates n depreciates too. One Luv bro
