May 16, 2015 – 3 Women Kidnapped In Igbole Ekiti State, Fayose Begs Police IGP For Help

Yesterday 3 married women travelling to Ibadan along side their family members for a wedding were abducted in Igbole Ekiti.

According to sources, the kidnappers stopped a Toyota RAV 4 SUV along Igbosin-Igbole road and abduct the whole family. The kidnappers later dropped the men and children before they vanished with the women.

Meanwhile Fayose has admitted that the state is under the siege of kidnappers. He wrote an urgent letter to Police Inspector General for special intervention.

The letter dated May 15, 2015 read in part, “It is with great concern that I am appealing to you to help in our quest for a lasting solution to the spate of kidnappings and abductions in our dear state. The development has created fear in the minds of our people and no meaningful development can take place under such an atmosphere.

Political sources in Ekiti accused the governor of opening doors of opportunity for hoodlums to make Ekiti State their place of abode after allegedly hiring them to attack his opponents during the last governorship and Presidential election period.
