Speeding Truck Crashes Into Vehicles On Onitsha Enugu Express Way…Pregnant Woman & Others Escape Death
A pregnant woman and others escaped death by whisker today in a multiple crash in Onitsha, Anambra state
The accident involving a sand laden truck with registration # XS 601 KRD happened near the Building Materials market in Ogidi axis of the Onitsha Enugu Expressway.
According to a passenger in one of the 9 affected vehicles, Okotti Cajethan, the truck was on a top speed when it suddenly lost control and rammed into other moving vehicles before it finally crashed into a ditch.
Here is what Cajethan heading to Taraba state said about the crash.
“Our vehicle was on motion when we suddenly heard sound of multiple crashes of vehicles from behind with the tipper hitting our vehicle before it finally fell on its side.
“I really pitied a pregnant woman who was in our vehicle when the accident.
“But we thank God no casualty was recorded despite the impact of the accident,” .

So many Drivers of these heavy vehicles are bullies on the road. They use the sheer size of their vehicles to terrorize drivers of smaller vehicles. There is a strong suspicion that the rough driving exhibited by many of them is due to use of drugs or alcohol before driving. Thank God no life was lost in this incident.
