Barrister Kunle Fadipe’s Killer Arrested: Hired Assassin Confessed Lawyer’s Murder To OPC
July 6, 2014 – Barrister Kunle Fadipe’s Killer Arrested: Hired Killer Confessed Lawyer’s Murder To OPC Men
The criminal who allegedly stabbed a human right lawyer to death at his home in Lagos on Thursday night has been arrested and transferred to SARS headquarter in Ikeja for questioning.
51-year-old Barrister Kunle Fadipe was stabbed on the neck after the hired assassin used the lawyer’s son who had gone to switch on their generator to gain entrance into the house.
“The suspect has been taken to SARS (Special Anti-Robbery Squad) office (in Ikeja). His shot leg will be treated first before he can be questioned,” said the officer who did not want to be named because he was not authorized to speak on the matter.
“No one in the estate can identify the arrested assassin of Barrister Fadipe, but he confessed to OPC men who shot him while escaping that he had been hiding behind the fence for over an hour”, the officer added.
According the deceased’s brother, Leye Fadipe, the family was still in shock and cannot link the death of the lawyer to anyone.
“It’s an assassination but we cannot finger anyone and we don’t know the motive” Leye said.
Kunle Fadipe who hailed from Ile Ife graduated from the University of Lagos in 1987. Until his death, he was a Visiting Member of the Editorial Board of The Guardian Newspapers.
May his soul rest in peace.

Let his killer also not die. Death is inevitable but this kind of brutal death shouldn’t have happened.
May God comfort his family
