The family of Evans has begged Lagos to temper justice with mercy and give him a chance to change.
His wife, Precious said she was not aware that her wealthy husband was a kidnapper until he was caught.
In a chat with Vanguard, Precious said Evans presented himself to her as a God fearing man who always led the family in prayer. She said his favourite Bible chapter is Psalm 23.

Publicity stunt..so if he is set free what about other criminals. The man must face the law convicted and sentenced to prison. I have called strong feeling this case will die down in a few weeks time. Just like most high profile criminal cases in Nigeria. They are usually inconclusive.

That woman is a joker. Pleading for the release of her husband is telling the government to open every prison gate and empty all the cells of hardened criminals. Or don’t these other criminals have wives and children? She should even be brought in to face the law for being an accomplice.
