The Presiding Bishop of Winners Chapel International, Bishop David Olaniyi Oyedepo has embarked on 2014 Holy Pilgrimage in far away Israel.

Papa, CAN President Oritsejafor, GEJ and many other politicians arrived Mount Carmel yesterday where they prayed and sought the face of God for peace in Nigeria.

Other dignitaries who embarked on the Holy Tour of Israel included Governor Obiano of Anambra State, Governor Akpabio of Akwa Ibom State, Benue state Governor Suswam and many others.

See more photos below:

Political critics of Jonathan believed his trip to Israel is for political gain while Oritsejafor was alleged to have used this to wash himself clean of the ongoing $9.3 money laundering allegation.

The State House Photographer passed this along to media houses in Nigeria few hours ago.

Why do Nigerian christians worry themselves trying to rival what Muslims do.? When did the Christian world raise the voluntary and private tourist visit to Jerusalem to the level of pilgrimage like the muslims do as prescribed by the Holly Quran; hetherto is required by the Quran for cleansing and confessing of sins, which no known verses of the Bible ever prescribed. What spiritual significane is Bishop Oyedepo’s visit to Jerusalem as an individual tourist and voluntary private visitor than those that visit the Burkingham palace in the UK. Nigerian christians should stop the senseless rivalry with moslems and practice their faith within the remits of the scriptures of christian religion. The Western world that came to Nigeria in the 18th century and introduced chritianity to Nigerians don’t see tourist visit to Israel as part of the faith they bestowed to Nigerian christians so why the exploitative tendencies of today’s Nigerian christian leaders.???

You don’t need to reply him/her. Allow him/her. Let them keep talking and judging and God will keep making us. Have you ever wondered that about 50,000 people cheer/criticize/analyse only 22 players in a soccer match?
