Boxing Day Tragedy Averted As Girl Who Fell Into Deep Well In Meiran Lagos Was Rescued Alive

Boxing day tragedy was averted by the officials of Lagos State Fire service in Ifako Ijaiye area of Lagos yesterday when a young girl who fell into a deep well was rescued alive with no serious injuries.

According to LSFS Director, Rasak Fadipe, the 5-year-old girl identified as Faith Onifade was playing around an 80 feet deep well at #1 Church Street at Agbeleke area of Meiran in Ifako Ijaiye when she suddenly fell into the well around 5:30pm.

A distress call was put through to the officials of Lagos State Fire Service who rushed down to rescue the girl.

She was pulled out alive around 5:50pm.
