May 6, 2015 – Catholic Priest Kidnapped In Ankpa Kogi State Nigeria, Rev Father Innocent Umor’s Kidnappers Demanded N4 Million Ransom
On Monday a 5-man kidnap gang entered the Parish House of a Catholic Church in Kogi around 2:10am and kidnapped Rev Father Innocent Umor.
Several hours after the abduction, the kidnappers called the Bishop in charge of the church over the telephone and demanded for 4 million naira as ransom.
Kogi State Police Commissioner, Samuel Ogunjemilusi said he has deployed Anti-Kidnap Squad to the area to rescue the victim.
The abduction happened in Ikanepo Parish under the Idah Catholic Diocese of Kogi State.
