Coronavirus Kills Manchester City Manager’s Mother In Barcelona Spain
Pep Guardiola has lost his mother to Coronavirus pandemic.
His 82-year-old mother died today after contracting coronavirus.
This was announced by Manchester City today Monday the 6th of April 2020.
Here is how the football club broke the sad news;
“The Manchester City family are devastated to report the death today of Pep’s mother Dolors Sala Carrio in Manresa, Barcelona, after contracting coronavirus,” the Premier League club said in a statement.
“Everyone associated with the club sends their most heartfelt sympathy at this most distressing time to Pep, his family and all their friends.”
49-year-old Guardiola, donated one million euros ($1 million) last month for the fight against the coronavirus pandemic in his home country of Spain.
He also issued a video as part of the club’s Citizens At Home initiative urging fans to stay at home.
