Feb 26, 2018 – Dele Odule: What People Don’t Know About Him
Veteran Nollywood actor Dele Odule, born November 23, 1961 i was nominated in the “Best Supporting Actor (Yoruba)” category at the 2014 Best of Nollywood Awards for his role in the film, Kori Koto.
He was born in the town of Oru Ijebu, in Ijebu North local government of Ogun State where he had his basic and secondary school education. He holds a Grade II Certificate from the Teacher’s Training College, Oru, before he proceeded to the University of Ibadan, Oyo State, where he studied Theatre Arts.
The current President of the Theatre Arts and Movie Practitioners Association of Nigeria is a highly prolific actor who started acting in a drama group called Oloko Theatre Group under the mentorship of Mukaila Adebisi.
He made his debut appearance in 1986 before he shot into limelight after starring in the movie titled Ti Oluwa Ni Ile. He has since gone on to star in over 200 movies.
Understandably, many still thinks he’s as wealthy as they see on their screens. Despite starring in a staggering number of movies, it’s not in doubt that the very proficient thespian is nowhere near a high net worth yet. Odule was in the news at a time for having over 10 children with different women.
Other than acting, Odule doesn’t seem to possess proficiency in any enterprise yet. Yes, he’s well sought after, but he’s not one of those the producers cannot conveniently do without. obviously he’s not one of the highest paid in the industry where he obviously earns respect.
