The government of Rivers State said contaminated local gin has killed 70 people in Rivers State.
On Sunday, Rivers Health Ministry Director, Nnanna Onyekwere told NAN that 2 survivors suffered blindness.
The contaminated dry gin was sold in Woji and Gokana area of the state and within one week more death have been recorded.
The sale of Local gin otherwise known as Ogogoro has been banned to prevent more deaths.
