After losing his bid to reduce President Jonathan’s power over him, the ex-CBN Governor has left Abuja for his home state of Kano.

The suspended Governor received an heroic welcome from large crowd of supporters in his 1st visit to Kano since his suspension on Wednesday.

Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi was welcomed by traditional rulers, residents and a large crowd of young Northern Nigerians with banners reading ‘We are with you’ ‘You stand by the truth’ ‘You are our Hero’.

He was accompanied home from the airport by a convoy of cars. Sanusi is the current Dan Maje of Kano, a potential heir to the traditional Emirate throne.

He was sacked from his office last week over missing $20 billion from 67 billion crude oil revenues within a year.

From saying the truth, he’s now a thief, you all don’t know where your heads are taking you to, so naive. From exposing the misappropriation of $20 billion dollars by NNPC, the so-called President sacked him, and you all with your stinky mouths are calling him a criminal, your President is the criminal, he is just a whistlblower and a HERO. You (calling him a criminal) need serious help
