A young girl took her own life over the weekend in Abakaliki, Ebonyi state.
19-year-old Chimaka, a resident of #17 Nwike street hung herself after her parents vowed not to buy her what she requested for on discovering that she was pregnant.
A source who is close to the family, added that Chiamaka had after discovering that she was pregnant, informed her boyfriend, who also lives in the same 17 Nwike Street with her, that he was responsible for the pregnancy but the boy denied ownership.
