How Fathia Balogun’s Conversion To Islam Contributed To Her Marital Woes
It is no longer news that over 8 Nollywood actresses have converted to Islam in the past 6 years.
One of such, Fathia Balogun, an Urhobo woman from Warri Delta who was born a Christian converted to Islam and changed her name to Faithia Balogun to qualify to marry her then Muslim boyfriend, Saheed Balogun, the relationship later ended up in disaster.
A source close to the actress in a lengthy email sent to NaijaGists.com this evening explained how the actress changed her name from Faith Williams to Faithia shortly before she married her estranged husband.
The source added that after her marriage crashed, the actress felt comfortable with the honour bestowed to her among her Muslim friends and the prestige her Alhaja title carries.
Her first attempt to give marriage a try to a US-based man failed after the wife of the man threatened to expose her.
On another occasion, the source said Fathia tried to revert to Christianity but her fear of losing numerous titles awarded to her by some Muslim groups caused her to change her mind as she was close to getting married to a Christian childhood friend.

There are things that always come across my mind when I heard of this sort of inter fate migration, as much as I hate to dabble into the so called religious matter, it’s so appalling that majority of people convert to Muslim due to material things, but Muslims convert to Christian based on spiritual conviction, and they become great or spiritual leaders after doing so, can anybody see or understand that devoted Muslims are more inclined to spiritual matters than majority who called themselves Christians, I don’t think Muslims have much problem with Jesus the Christ, only they misunderstood HIM literally being the Son of God instead of God Himself in the flesh.

I HAVE NO Time to pity (Judas/Traitors) who left the Christian fold for Islam especially. Never! Their actions clearly shows that they were never really born again as in, accepting Jesus Christ as their Saviour in the first place.
People like fathia balogun has forever sealed their chances of ever making Heaven all because of STUPID decision.
I rather worship a NEPA poll wire than converting to islam whatsoever. A blood-shedding and violent loving devilish religion formed by the devil himself. God forbid!!!

I think the mission of this write up is not properly defined. is the author saying marriage propel inter fate migration often lead to crash of the marriage or Seing such propel migration to islam more of material gain than spiritual? However, whatever the intention might be it rather uncall for because such analysis will definately fan hamber of religious disunity. Inter fate migration to both major religion in Nigeria in equal way what i notice is that when a muslim cross to christianity it hardly make an headline but whenever a christian cross to muslim it always raise criticism by people trying to give reason to disparage such.

Leave Fathia alone. And I read someone said when Muslims convert to Christianity they become spiritual leader?. Who told you that Christians who reverted to Islam haven’t become such in Islam?. How about Muhammad Ali, Malcolm x, did they reverted to Islam for material things?.
The writer should tell us how she knew that Fathia is shy to revert to Christianity bcuz of the titled Muslims gave her?. Is her case unique?. Aren’t many Christian women who converted to Islam and they are doing great?.
How about the late actress, Mrs Bukky Ajayi?. She was Christian and reverted to Islam till death. She was convinced Islam was the right religion for her. Whoever chose Islam because if material things, such didn’t convert to Islam to begin with because Quran says, “enter Islam wholeheartedly”
One last thing is are there not many Christian couples whose marriages hit the rock?.
