July 30, 2015 – Kano’s Emir Sanusi Lamido Sanusi At 54 Remains The Pride Of Northern Heritage
As His Revered Royal Majesty Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II ( Sanusi Lamido Sanusi), the Emir of Kano marks his 54th Birthday, the Northern Youths Intellectual-Advocacy Forum (NYIF) congratulate and wish him well in his illustrious endeavour.
His Royal Majesty Sanusi Lamido Sanusi remains unarguably the Revered King in Africa, respected around the World due to his intelligence and good sense of humour. Nonetheless, his sincerity of purpose and intelligentsia cut-across disciplines which he brought to bear in the management of our economy when he holds way as Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
What more? His endowed charisma and finesse place him above his pearl, and as a social reformer, a man of impeccable pedigree, a scholar of unimaginable standard, a honest man to a fault whose yes could be taken to any Bank of integrity, Emir Sanusi Lamido Sanusi is indeed a pride of Northern Intellectual Heritage.
Emir Sanusi Lamido Sanusi is the Solomon of our time, whose wealth of experience is second to none, a Nationalist by his own right who could be liken to the great Sad’auna of Sokoto and Tafawa Balewa of the blessed memory. In fact, his word remains his greatest bond and always ready to defend the truth no matter whose ox is gored.
Here is my judgement: without mincing words, the NYIF is proud to reckon with your legacy and could not forget in a hurry the stability you brought to bear on our banking sector, today Nigerians with their ATM card could boldly go to any Bank of their choice to withdraw their money without having to contain with the fear of unscrupulous individuals playing a fast one on them, all thanks to your bold initiative of a policy.
You are indeed one of the few untouched with corrupt tendencies despite being in juicy position to loot our collective patrimony, you single- handedly challenged financial impunity exhibited by the Executives and the Legislators where 70% of our budget goes into servicing their glutonic salary and allowance.
Alas! The missing $20 million climax your uncommon probity, sincerity and honesty to National growth and development, though you were forcefully removed on account of financial recklessness, labelled with all sort of names and persecuted by the evil genus, but Allah in his infinite mercy exonerated you before the eyes of the world and lifted you to the exhorted seat, the fulfillment of your life time dream.
What an irony, your departure from CBN rendered our economy comatose with inferior Naira to Dollar, yet a measure put in place to save the economy from further collapse due to higher inflation rate became a theatre of corruption, where 6 CBN staff, 16 Bank staff help themselves to the tone of 8 billion Naira.
Whilst, your reign in Kano today is witnessing robust peace and total restoration of confidence amongst your subjects.
Long live to His Royal Majesty Emir Sanusi Lamido Sanusi!
Long live Federal Republic of Nigeria!!
And God bless bless me!!!
