Feb 12, 2014 – Konduga Attack: Boko Haram Murdered 45 In Borno State

Over 40 people have died in a remote town in Borno state.

Yesterday evening some suspected Boko Haram militants invaded the town of Konduga killing over 40 residents.

A member of the official assessment team dispatched to the area following the incident, said Boko Haram burnt down several houses and a secondary school. The authorities were forced to close down that institution.

We further learnt that a military reinforcement has now reached Konduga and taken over the security situation in the area.

Our reporter gathered that the militant arrived in dozens at about 5:30 pm yesterday and launched multiple attacks on civilians as they chanted ‘Allahuakubar’ and other Islam-related words. They did their damage and left with no resistance from the security agencies. Borno State is under emergency rule.

Another source who asked for anonymity said he personally counted over 45 corpses. SaharaReporters was unable to confirm that claim from Col. Mohammed Dole, spokesman of the 7th Division of the Nigerian Army in Maiduguri.

When is this killing going to stop? we always go to other countries to assist in fighting terrorist but we find defficult to fight our own battle, does it mean that we don’t have enough soldiers or ammunition to fight, i thought that after changing the top millitary heads that Mr. president will win the battle, please if there is any other way to resolve this problem let us do it befor 2015.

Another purported sacrifice to demons. I hail you government of Nigeria. The most populous nation in Africa. The fastest growing economy in Africa and soon-would-be in the world. Kudos! I guess as the president said “we have a country that the population is growing than the way our economy is growing”, the only remedy is genocide or something similar. If not tell me, how could a whole nation like NIgeria cross her fingers and watch people murdered on a daily basis and no one is doing anything reasonable. Let me say something here, Nigerians are not dumb. Nigeria is one of the countries (if not the most brilliant) in the world with most brilliant people. Something is amiss in our nation. The problem here could be arrested with contemplation and action. This is exactly what the evil ones are doing: they retreat, contemplate, and strike. The good-willed men and women need to brace their bow right now. But wait a minute, I mean a spiritual bow of wisdom and positive action. We need one full voice of good-willed minded and hearted people to stand up or else, VERY VERY SOON, THIS NATION WOULD BE DECLARED A PLACE OF EMERGENCY.
