January 9, 2017 – Frustrated Nigerian Teachers In Kwara State Embark On Prayer & Fasting To Ensure Payment Of 6 Months Salary
Both primary and secondary school teachers in Kwara state have commenced a spiritual exercise to ensure the prompt payment of their 6 months salary arrears by the Kwara state government.
NUT (Nigerian Union of Teachers) Deputy Chairman, Toyin Salihu disclosed this in a chat with NAN in Ilorin today.
Salihu said the teachers have volunteered to continue their fasting and prayers until God answers them.
He added that the unpaid six months arrears had added to the untold hardship being experienced by the teachers and their relations.
