Lassa Fever Virus Outbreak: 3 Killed In Ekiti State, Others Quarantined

Lassa Fever disease has reportedly killed 3 persons in Ekiti state.
According to Health Commissioner, Rotimi Ojo who addressed reporters last night in Ado Ekiti, 5 out of 8 suspected cases tested negative to the viral disease.
Dr Ojo said proactive measures are being taken to curb the spread of the disease.
He advised residents to avoid self medication and ensure sick people are taken to the hospital.
He added that unusually high temperature or fever must be reported at the nearest hospital.
