April 18, 2017 – Meningitis Disease Outbreak Kills 10 In Shagari LGA Of Sokoto, Several Others Hospitalised
At least 10 have died in Shagari LGA of Sokoto in the wake of the deadly Meningitis disease outbreak in the area.
According to Shagari Local Government Area Chairman, Jabbi Shagari, ”the deaths were recorded out of the several cases that are being treated across the local government”.
Shagari also commended the state government for donating assorted drugs and medicament worth over N2 million to the local government .
The chairman said the drugs had helped tremendously in combating the menace, saying ” they were distributed to all the health facilities in the area.
