August 20, 2016 –  My Husband Started Beating Me On Our Wedding Day, He Forces Me To Drink His Urine – Wife Tells Court

An Ibadan-based trader, 29-year-old Taiwo Ayoade, has appealed to the Inalende customary court sitting at Inalende, Mokola, Ibadan, Oyo State, to dissolve the one-year and a few months marriage between her and her husband, Olusola Ayoade, over constant beating, which started on their wedding day in April 2015.

She also accused her husband of misbehaving each time he smokes marijuana.

According to Taiwo, she’s tired of his several beatings and that was why she filed a divorce suit against him.

“One day, I went to the church with my younger sister and came back at 2:30pm. On getting home, I already knew from his countenance that he was angry. Not taking into consideration that I had just come into the house, he requested for his food. I told him I was sorry for the delay. As if it was wrong to have said ‘sorry,’ he slapped me three times. Not minding his action, I headed for the kitchen. As I began the cooking, he  moved towards me and beat me to the extent that I had bruises all over my body and was bleeding until a neighbour came to my rescue,” she told the court.

Taiwo told the court that she had reported the case to Olusola’s brother because his father is late, saying the only statement his mother uttered was that she should try to endure.

The court asked if Taiwo could state a reason why her husband developed the habit of beating her. She replied, “because he saw my ‘best lady’s’ man friend on our wedding day.”

Taiwo further told the court that Olusola smokes hemp and that anytime he does that, he would lock her up in the room and beat her.

“There was a day he urinated in one of our water jugs and asked me to drink it,” she said.

The court further asked if she did. In response, Taiwo replied “Yes, I drank it.”

President of the court, Mr Olafenwa Ramoni, in his ruling, dissolved the marriage, saying it was clear that the love between Taiwo and Olusola Ayoade has broken down beyond repair.

THIS IS about the worst marriage crisis I have read here. For the man to force his wife to drink his urine? I think that was why the judge wasted not further time in dissolving that marriage. It is sad that that allegation can never be proven except that man confesses to it. Otherwise he deserve to be incarcerated in the worst prison in Nigeria.

This man must have been beating the lady during their courtship for him to have beat her up on their wedding day. Her mistake was her marrying him in the first place in the hope he will change. A leopard never changes his spots. I don’t think it is the drugs he takes that causes this animal side of the man to manifest. He had the tendency all along so time in a rehab might not even eliminate the beatings because as the African saying has it, ” drunkenness manifests in accordance with the drunk’s character”. Hence a violent man gets violent when he is drunk, a musical man sings while drunk, and a man inclined towards being morose cries while drunk and will then choose to remember all the people long dead and gone, just to have reason to cry away his drunkenness.
Yes, the court has done her great favor in helping her get rid of this sadist.

Ow can a normal human tells his wife to drink his urine, something is wring with him. May him never know peace through out his life time. God forbid bad thing. I take a stroll.

This lady is one among many who go through same or worst ordeal but due to shame or fear can not speak out. The worst of it all is that some of the educated young men also look up to their fathers as role model. The way their own father assaulted their mother is the same way they will treat their wife.
This particular man that asked his wife to drink urine and his mother sees no problem with his attitude, don’t be surprise she must have ate feaces from her own husband. That is why maltreatments meant nothing to her.
Ha! I wipe for these women who go through physical abuse.
