Sept 4, 2012 – N5000 Note: Protesters Storm Central Bank Of Nigeria Headquarters In Abuja

Dino Melaye, an ex-House of Rep member today led a group of protesters to CBN headquarters in Abuja to signal Nigeria’s opposition to the proposed introduction of 5000 Naira note and coinage of N5,10 & N20 notes. www.naijagists.com

CBN plans to introduce N5000 in January of 2013 and the announcement was made by Apex bank.

Dino claims the introduction of N5000 note will cause inflation and many Nigerians’re against it.

He further described the proposed N5000 note as anti-people.

He vowed to continue the ongoing protest until apex bank dropped the ‘Haram’ idea.
