July 20, 2016 – Nigerian Bishop Sponsoring, Funding Niger Delta Avengers Militants Arrested
The presiding Bishop of New Salvation Zion Church of Christ at Igbodu area of Warri North Council Area of Delta state has been arrested for allegedly sponsoring the Niger Delta Avengers militant group.
The suspect (name withheld by request) was picked up around 8am last Wednesday and released at 8pm.
Petition filed against him alleged that he was funding the militant group and habouring their weapons in his church and house.
When information reached him, he reportedly removed the weapon stored at his church and home before heavily armed police officers arrived.
When nothing incriminating was found, he was let go and placed under surveillance.
He was ordered to report the following day for further questioning.

Nobody should cast any stone of blame at the Bishop just yet untill proper investigtions are conducted.
As it now stands, this case lacks merit, lacks convincing evidences. Mere prejudice and an attempt to paint the MOG black and to implicate him. Though, I cnnot vouch for anybody.
We await more findings to this matter. Before the blame game.

Your second paragraph, can you sincerely say that if the Bishop was Imam and the church and house was Mosque?. Would you have said to be patient until investigation is carried out?. Would you have said this case has “no merit”?.
Oh well, as a Muslim, Islam is based on justice and truth. We are told in the Qur’an to verify information before we believe.

This had better not been true, though I wouldn’t be surprised. In retrospect, pastors had been nabbed as real armed robbers. Therefore, sponsoring NDA wouldn’t shock me.

There is no smoke without fire, i will not be surprised if one of the police men tip him off for the sake of egunje. This sort of thing happens, the church is now used as front for all sorts of criminal activities. it was reported on najagists several times.
Everyone want to be called and seen as pastor or evangelist so as to fool the authorities and the gullible and vulnerable citizens .
All the destruction we are witnessing on the income generating infrastructures of the nation is mainly sponsored from within with collusion of outsiders.

Funny. Story for the gods.. without proof or any evidence, it remains nothing but nursery one story book! However, investigation should be carried on as we await further update. As it stands, to me, d bishop remains clean until otherwise proven guilty. Likewise the police, ur story still lack conclusion but might be truth! Ain’t gonna vouch fr any one until evidence arise!

Proper investigation will av to be done, so as not to arrest d wrong person as well as not setting d guilty one free.
We av heard of so many cases of pastors harboring criminals, and why pick on him, there is no smoke without fire.
All I am sayg is no one can be trusted, so due investigation needs to be done. If he is innocent, God knows how to vindicate his own people.
We shall fold our hands and watch.

dat means the whole church are militants abi? He kept de weapons at church and no member ever sor it. He also kept some at home and no one ever sor it also. if the bishop is sponsoring dos militants dat means some big politicians ar doing it through him abi? bishop along without any money machine can’t in any way be able to sponsor such movement.

You would be talking like:
“they following their prophet and Qur’an”.
“they are terrorists”
“mosques are used to harbor deadly weapons”
“Imam probably has slaves in his mosque and house”
“He needs to be locked up and beheaded right away”

Far as this Bishop is concerned, in my opinion, nothing to suggest he’s funding those people unless and until it is proven. That’s how justice system works.
And I heard someone above said even if it’s true the Bishop could not afford such a huge “project” without backing by politicians. That’s well taught bcus one individual can’t afford the undertaking. But then, did muslims not say the same thing when individual muslim and individual muslim politicians are accused of funding BH?. You insisted they do but you want to make this exceptional. Unfortunately, I am matured and better than that. I stand by Islamic standard. I am not going to come to conclusion that the Bishop was involved. I even find it hard to believe that a single man can afford such thing. So Islam makes me reason. I am not a******. I also wish the Bishop is not part of the scheme.
However, I wont be surprised if he was indeed involved and the media would change the story. They could silence on his religion later if he is christian.

Another fake Bishop from the pit of hell that is using church as a cover up to commit gruesome crimes against Nigerian people, economy, unity, and peace. I have no idea where these demonic Bishops of doom got their teaching and religious doctrines from? Our LORD and Savior-Christ Jesus urges all believers of His words and teachings to follow peace with all men. All men, and not just christians. However, that doesn’t mean that we should allow hired killers, those cruel Fulani Herdsmen or Boko Haram terrorists to kill us without fighting back in self defense to protect ourselves, land, farms, and families. But when a Bishop of darkness took it upon himself to sponsor and finance any act of violence, terrorism, and civil unrest, such is not from God Almighty and surely doesn’t represent love of Christ. The saddest thing is that he used this demonic church as weaponry store house for Niger Delta Avengers terrorist group. This bishop just like other sponsors of terrorists like Boko Haram should be charged for esponage for aiding and supporting terrorism against Nigeria. This is shameful.

Question remains, would you have said the same if an Imam, a Muslim is accused in similar situation?. Would you have slowed down and give it a second thought as you have done in this case or would you have blamed the Imam outright as you are known for?. That’s the point.
Let me rephrase my point. It is clear that in this case you gave excuses to bail out the Bishop even though the accusation might be false. Would you do the same if he was a Muslim?

Not at all @ Amanda. Reason being that, the muslims all over the World are 100% more incline to support and promote violence than the Christians. At least their quest to shed blood especially innocent blood around the world with all the terrorists groups to buttress their point is vivid for all to see.
The office of a Bishop is far more than any spiritual title you can get in the islamic religion.
So a man of such position and respect is not somebody that some group of riff raffs will just cook up an allegation against and expect well meaning well informed people like me to just believe hook line and sinker without proper investigations and evidences to prove.

Everything you said is insinuation. And I think you should read my post very well. I laugh in Spanish though reading your first paragraph that Muslims incline “100%” to violence. I will tell you *****. Those Western countries, what are they?. Realistically, they are Christians and they are bombing Muslims places. But the reason you don’t see them as incline to religion or that they do what they do in the name of religion is because they have separated Church from State. But that’s not the case in Islam.
That’s why Christians get away with violence. Iraq and Libya were quiet peaceful until christian nations attacked it. They can hide under the cover of politics all they want. The fact remains they are Christians. Those days, they used to carry cross and wear Abaya/gown and carried swords. Today, they wear suit and tie and carry AK47 with drones but they are still pursuing the same old agenda.
