Weddings are always a delight and we absolutely love celebrity weddings and the glam and glitterati that come with them. Some people love the quiet, secluded weddings while others have elaborate ones that have us still talking about them months later.

Omawumi and Toxin Yusuf
If you are at home with Nigerian music, then you must know ‘Wonder woman’. She was the first runner up at the Idol West Africa, Premier edition 2007. This talented musician has released three albums since then – Wonder woman (2009), Lasso of Truth (2015) and Timeless (2017). Her hit songs include Bottom belle, if you ask me, warn yourself.
Apart from singing, Omawumi is a very homely woman and likes cooking and spending quality time with her friends and family. She recently got married to her boyfriend of all times, Tosin Yusuf. The wedding took place at her hometown, Warri, Delta state on 13 January, 2018.

Although they had a court wedding at the Ikoyi Marriage Registry Lagos, the traditional wedding was done this year. The couple already had two kids- a boy and girl before deciding to make their relationship official.
A lot of celebrities graced the occasion ranging from music stars to comedians including her very good friend, Waje. Several media outlets were also there to document the event for wider coverage.
Gabriel Afolayan and Adebanke Lawal
The younger brother of award winning producer, Kunle Afolayan tied the knots with his heart throb, Banke on April 15, 2018. The grand event took place in Ibadan and was attended by scores and scores of celebrities.
It was gathered that Gabriel had been dating his Houston-based girlfriend for over a year and half. The introduction was done in Osogbo, Osun state. His wife is a single mother of one from a previous relationship.
Shortly after the traditional wedding, the white wedding took place. Just before the wedding, Gabriel was forever posting pictures of her and giving scanty details about the wedding preparation. Their hashtag (#GBanks2018) trended on Instagram even after the wedding was over.
Zainab Balogun and Dikko Nwachukwu
Actress, model and TV host, Zainab wedded her beau Dikko Nwachukwu, the founder and CEO of JetWest Airways on May 13, 2018 in Lagos state.
It was gathered the couple have been going out secretly for sometime before becoming man and wife. Her marriage came largely as a surprise to both fans and colleagues and even some friends because she made no announcement prior to the wedding day.
She has starred in both national and international movies such as ‘The Dark Knight Arises’ (Extra), (Hollywood), ‘Cocktail’ (Bollywood) and of course, ‘The Wedding Party’ 1 and 2 (Nollywood).
Her husband on the other hand is a 44-year old widower of Igbo/Yoruba/Kalabari descent. He was first married to Funmi and the marriage produced two sons before he lost her in 2015.
He was the former chief of Commercial Office at Aero Contractors. Although the age difference between the couple is much, they have indeed proven that absolutely nothing can stop them.

Kenneth Omeruo and Chioma Nnamani
Kenneth is a Super Eagles star and he finally tied the knots with Chioma, his girlfriend of eight years. Many friends and well wishers have described the wedding as the envy of all. The couple got engaged in September 2017.
The star-studded ceremony was held in Istanbul, Turkey and featured top musicians such as Praiz and Iyanya, comedians like Craze clown and Tega. Some football stars such as Emmanuel Adebayor, Raheem Lawal and Mikel Agu were in attendance. The marriage was sealed on May 15, 2018.
Mo’cheddah and Bukunyi Olateru-Olagbegi
Remember what we said about secret weddings from the beginning of this report? Right because Mo’cheddah did just that and no one found out until she released photos of her bridal look till after the wedding. The couple were engaged in August 2017 and had their ‘hush-hush’ wedding on 30th of May, 2018. It was at an undisclosed location in Lagos.
Her husband is the younger brother of Beat FM’s Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi. The bride who could barely contain her excitement released pictures of herself and hubby which soon circulated everywhere on social media.
Tchidi Chikere and Nuella Njubigbo
Ace Nollywood producer and director, Tchidi finally wedded the beautiful Nuella. This is his second wedding after a failed one.
According to reports, his ex wife was cheating on him therefore the marriage was dissolved. In 2014, they had their traditional marriage in Anambra, the bride’s hometown. The pair already have a cute daughter together.

It was said that the reason the white wedding took so long was to let Tchidi clear up his divorce proceedings. It was finally solemnized on the 9th June, 2018 at Catholic Church of Transfiguration, Victoria Garden City, Lagos.
Emmanuel Emenike and Iheoma Nnadi
This former Super Eagles star and Olympiakos striker was finally the one who captured the heart of the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) 2014 winner, Iheoma Nnadi.
They have a daughter who was born in 2017 while their wedding was on May 26, 2018 in Lagos. The couple have been together for over two years and half. They had their traditional wedding earlier at the bride’s hometown before having the white wedding to complete the nuptials.
The wedding nearly went awry when the bride complained that some of her VIP guests were not served foods and drinks which she clearly paid for. She also said that some of their guests phones and her husband’s flask were stolen right from their table. In fact, she said the wedding planner, Denike Balogun, did a very shabby work and was the definition of unprofessionalism. She shared this on her instastory.

The wedding planner on the other hand replied by saying that all the tables had food and drinks on them and no one had complained of any missing belongings to her. She also shared this on her social media pages to debunk what the bride said.
Before his marriage to his sweetheart, Emmanuel had several stints with Nollywood star actress Ebube Nwagbo.
