Nigerian Couple, Pastor & Wife Starve Son To Death During 40-Day Fast In Reedsburg Wisconsin
A Nigerian husband and wife have been arrested in Wisconsin for allegedly starving their son to death.
The accused, 49-year-old Kehinde and 48-year-old Titilayo Omosebi were on Tuesday charged with child neglect causing death and child neglect causing great bodily harm, felonies charges that carry 37 years in prison.
The father of the deceased boy reported the death of his 15-year-old son at Reedsburg Police station on Sunday and when police arrived at the couple’s home, they found another extremely malnourished 11-year-old boy.
Although the mother was emaciated too, she rejected medical treatment, citing religious reasons. She is currently at Sauk County Jail as police took the 11-year old boy to Children’s Hospital in Madison.
Reedsburg Police revealed that Kehinde Omosebi who told investigators his family started a religious fast on the 19th of July 2018 said he was a minister affiliated with Cornerstone Reformation Ministries.
