A woman based in Lagos has been left heartbroken by her husband who allegedly used her fake death certificate to obtain US visa for himself and his girlfriend.
The Lagos based nurse who recently shared her painful experience with Toke Makinwa on Twitter said:
“I am in a very sad mood, I feel used and rejected, I feel so terrible, I am married with four kids and I always felt I am married to the best man in the world.
I am a registered Nurse in a Government hospital here I Lagos, while he is a dentist.
Our plan has always been that when our first child finishes primary school, we will relocate to the US.
About a year ago, my husband started dating a lady in her late 30s. I saw her messages and challenged him after which he apologized and I forgave him.
However, to my surprise, he came home late on Friday night and slept very early on Saturday. I drove his car out to refill the gas. I saw an envelope in his car.
Inside this envelope, was his passport with US visa on it and the lady’s own with US visa. I saw the form he used to fill his visa application.
In the form, he said his wife was late and my death certificate was attached and his wedding certificate with the lady was also attached.
In the form, he wrote out all our children’s name but he claimed their mother was late. I made a photocopy of all the documents and returned the documents.
I nearly ran mad. He observed that I have been so cold lately and he has been asking what the matter is.
What should I do? How should I accept this level of wickedness and traitor attitude?
Please Mummies, advise me before I do something drastic”

Very easy woman,hope u still have the documents.rush to us embassy and tender your eviidence and have thise visas revoked and he will stand for prosecution for obtaining a vital intl document thru false means and always institute a case against him on the law court and as a dentist ,he will pay dearly an still fulfill his obligtion of taking care of you and your children.Then leave such dubios person and flee fokr safetyGood proffession does not guarantee solid relationship.face your nursing career and remain focused.

Firstly report the act so that he doesn’t travel and after which you sue him and he gets to pay till he has nothing left of him and the girlfriend.

Don’t allow ur family members to talk u into not reporting it.Pls go to d embassy n make a case first before calling for any family meeting. Bcuz d next thing is to use ur children n blackmail u into keeping quite. B strong my dear.

You should have kept the documents at a friend’s or trusted relative’s and never said anything to him, then go to the US Embassy with proof of your identity to report the scam so those visas can be revoked. A man like that can kill you. He only produced proof of his four children as ties with Nigeria, so they wouldn’t deny him visa on grounds that he will not return to Nigeria, which I doubt. That was your one chance and you blew it. See why I keep saying women shouldn’t have many children? How will you manage four children in today’s economy? Most of these men are irresponsible, like their fathers. They will soon label you a single mother and blame you for the condition you didn’t create. Wishing you and your children the best. Trust in God and put your children first, he will have mercy on you.

Madam I felt bad with the man attitude but you can challenge him about your discovery and let him be free to separate from you instead of him wishing you dead.
Don’t try to stop him from going ahead about his plan but must ensure that you a free from him as he can be deadly if you prove to be a stopping block about his plans.
Also from this issue you should know that his relationship with you is not sincere one.

There must be serious problem in the marriage that leads to this and not the way it’s presented here if ever it’s true.

This is a hard puzzle to crack but I will implore that the lady should not stop that guy from travelling or impede his travelling process because the aftermath effect on other applicants. This issue can make the US Embassy be more stringent and make it difficult for millions of applicants waiting on line. There is no doubt that even a 2 year old will know that there is no more love from this man’s end towards his wife and this VISA saga just helped to expose the man’s intent but at the same token, I wouldn’t like this woman to act on her emotion because it is going to advert effect on everybody including the children if she eventually decides to report this to the US Embassy instead there are other options in resolving the situation.
In my own opinion, I think the lady in question should notify his/ her family about her husband evil plot. Your husband may not like every member of the family to know more about his traveling arrangement and by exposing him more, he will succumb to your request. Secondly, Ask him in front of his family to go back to the Embassy to retract his statement about her death. This is going to be difficult for him. Then, ask him to let you go with him to the US using her girlfriend’s passport instead of his Juliet as planned. Finally, to make solid arrangement for his children before leaving Nigeria. These alone will make him compromise for better alternative and leave the solution to the head of the family for record purpose but it is mandatory to let all family aware about this.
The reason why I suggest this woman should not act on her impulse is because of her children. They have a better chance of joining him because he already established them by proofing his paternity on the documents. If eventually he gets his citizenship, his kids can join him without much stress. That is one good thing about the whole situation because he had not denied his kids but if you prefer to visit the Embassy and lodge the complain, definitely his VISA will be revoked or if he eventually make it to the US, he can be locked up and charge for forgery but after all these, be ready for a lifetime divorce because thing will not be the same again.

At this junction forget about love existence between you and your husband though very sad but do not destroy other chances because of your kids. I understand it is not easy to raise 4 kids in our Nigeria of today without any support from your spouse but you can follow your mind by reporting him to the authorities and have them revoke his VISA but would that make him love you more? No. I’m not supporting your husband for his betraying role but looking beyond and how your kids can benefit from what he got in future.
Trust me, you have all the power within your capacity to destroy this process in a second but I don’t want you to listen to people advise to finish him once for all but think about what binds you together I mean the children. You can not listen to any commenter who has never had any child to advise you on this critical issue of course, they will tell you report him! nail him! bring him down. The matter before you now is like a Goat who enters a hardware store where they are selling breakable glass plates worth millions of Naira . You yourself know that the store owner must excicise patient to let the goat leaves peacefully without causing irreparable damages. Not all matters can be solve using violence and not all matter can be solve through a peaceful solution but dealing with issue like this you may have to find a leverage for a solution.
Now, here is what you going to do. Organize emergency meeting inform your parents and his parents and let him be there at the meeting and present your case with the proofs at your hand. Tell them you are ready to take action by reporting him to the authority and plus he may be planing to kill you for his new lover. Let them solve the puzzle. Even though you may not go to the authority his family will do something about it. If most of his families and your already aware, you are save not that his love for his new girl will change but just to let them aware that this guy is arranging to elope with his girlfriend leaving you with 4 kids. He should tell the whole family where you went wrong and you must do this ASAP (As Soon As Possible) . If on the order hand you go with your plan this guy may not have opportunity to get VISA again and that can go beyond what you might have thought.

In reference to the above story, that man is not in love with his wife anymore but I think he still care about his children. For him to have included his kids name in his paper work, I guess he still have some plan for them. He only wants their mom out of the picture which to me is an evil act. I could have come with different verdict if he had not been bringing his children along. It seems he still care about his children.

Make copies, show his family and your family and lawyers should in case anything suddenly happens to you. For him to have gone as far as forging your death certificate, he has already killed you. Make noise about the matter and sieze the documents and do whatever you like with those documents. The wickedness in the heart of people these days is record breaking.
