Oyo State Polytechnic Lecturer Embark On Prayer & Fasting Over Unpaid 10-Month Salary

The Oke Ogun Poly chapter of ASUP ( Academic Staff Union Of Polytechnic) has embarked on a rigorous prayer and fasting exercise to urgently demand the payment of their outstanding salary areas from the Oyo State Government.

Over the weekend, the union lamented that hardworking lecturers are wallowing in abject poverty because they are yet to receive their salaries and allowances in the past ten months.

ASUP Chairman, Comrade Muyiwa Olawumi told reporters in Saki yesterday that lack of grant from the government has crippled academic activities in the school and has negatively impacted the life of the lecturers.

This is unthinkable, rediculous, and unbelievable in a state like Oyo state. Our nation and various state governors and officials are really heartless, unpatriotic, and unreasonable in all aspects, owning state lectures ten months salaries is a very scary, shameful, and unimaginable, and that amounts to pure act of lawlessness on the part of failed governor Ajimobi of Oyo state. The only excuse for such crime is if the governor himself, all the state legislature, and commissioners are yet to receive at least ten months of their own salaries, bonuses, and other unwarranted allowances. I’m 100% sure that those idiots and senseless Oyo state politicians never missed a month of their own salaries and benefits. This is a shameful and most unpatriotic behavior of wicked politicians in charge of the people’s affairs. Nigeria is gradually becoming a failed and collapse state if this ugly thread continues. May God deliver us from ourselves, selfishness, wickedness, and lack of true love for ourselves. This a bad and highly depressing news.

Nothing God can not do…but i wish this lecturers will take more practical approach by liaising with students, jobless graduates and stage a mass protest, it’s certain that not only in this state this nonsense is happening, but almost all the state in Nigeria.
How can Nigeria move forward or be talking of future when all these Cabals calling themselves politician are helping to destroy the Nigeria youths.

It’s really disheartening, a course with a duration of 4yrs will last up to 7yrs before completion, and in the end,the graduate will be jobless and can not even boost of knowing anything practically. It’s so shameful that this administration are not addressing the root of Nigeria problem…we keep on hearing millions recovered, people arrested over corruption (non charge or jailed).

I just wish the Nigeria masses, call them ordinary people or whatever will understand themselves and come together with one voice, march together to all the government houses and demand for their right or chase all these criminals away.
