Popular Nollywood actor and filmmaker Caz Chidiebere today wrote an eye-opening piece to Igbo Youths backing Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, whom he called a self-styled freedom fighter who kept his family in the United Kingdom only to make trouble in Nigeria.
Chidiebere alleged that Kanu is using the secession struggle to gain cheap popularity for himself.
He added that Mr Kanu kept his family secured abroad while some “senseless” Igbo youths were killing themselves to make him a redeemer.

Truth must be told to those who have eyes and those whose eyes are wide open. Just yesterday, my brother-Mr. Kanu Nnamdi said the military are trying to provoke him and IPOB to war. That unwise, insensitive and careless statement reaffirmed my deep down inner conviction that bro. Kanu has no moral values, lack leadership qualities, and the integrity to lead or be a leader to any group of Igbo people both home and abroad. How can you called yourself a leader by risking lives of so many innocent mothers, fathers, and little children in Abia by calling for war that you know for sure that you and your supporters will lose within an hour if things go wrong? No true leader will want anyone of his or her people to die a painful death in order to protect himself or make himself feel or look good. The like of Nelson Mandela, Gandi, and other great freedom fighters in the past will rather be arrested, be kill or humiliated to save a single soul among those they are fighting for. But Kanu Nnamdi is just direct opposite. He is very proud, arrogant, selfish, reckless, and love power at all cost. I have no idea why highly smart Igbo youths are falling flat for this guy manipulation and brainwash? I wish the great Ikemba himself was alive to see the clone using God’s children in the Southeast to increase his own popularity. In fact, Col. Chucku-Emeka Ojukwu is rolling in his grave and highly disappointed that his youth have abandoned his wise counsel and warning but instead, they are falling for the cajole and manipulation of a nobody pretending to be somebody. Honestly, I blame our President PMB for mishandling Kanu’s case from the get go and instead, turned a nobody in Igboland to superstar overnight. I fully agreed with my brother from the same mother-Nigeria Mr.Caz Chidiebere that Nigeria is bigger that any individual or group like IPOB to breakup. Federal government should stop giving this guy any attention, but instead, focus on youth empowerment and job creation for millions of jobless Nigerian youths. But we must love each other, practice full inclusion in political appointment, fight corruption and mismanagement and work together to make Nigeria a better country for all her people regardless of your tribe, religious, culture or language.
