Rukayat Ahmed, a 27-year-old NYSC Corps member has divorced the man who sponsored her education.
The petitioner told the court that she was no longer in love with her husband Mr Alkasim Ahmed.
When the came came for hearing at an Upper Area Court in May 25, her husband didn’t object to her demand but demanded that Rukayat return the bride price he paid on her.
Today, the court dissolved the marriage between Rukayat and 69-year-old Alkasim Ahmed.
She walked out of the court a free woman after she returned the N80,000 dowry to Mr Ahmed.
