The National Merit Awards Committee in Nigeria has put together the list of 364 Nigerians who’ve distinguished themselves in their chosen career as the recipient of 2011 National Merit Awards.

On top of the list of the awardees is Aliko Dangote, the President of Dangote Group who’s the only person receiving Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON), the very first private Nigerian to ever hold the award.

In accordance with Vanguard, other notable members listed are: Nollywood stars like Genevieve Nnaji, Kanayo O. Kanayo, Olu Jacobs, Soccer star Joseph yobo, Speaker House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal, former MD of Zenith Bank Jim Ovia, Former VC of University of Benin, Grace Alele-Williams, and many more.
