Pastor Leke Adeboye And His Many Controversies: What Are The Elders Doing To Help Me

leke adeboye controversies

Leke Adeboye’s Diarrhea of the mouth: what are the elders doing to help him?
Ephesians 4:29

The Bible records “It is better to remain silent at the risk of being thought a fool than to talk and remove all doubt of it.”(Proverbs 17:27-28). We also know there is a wisdom of the head, and wisdom of the heart but it is obvious from indications Pastor Leke Adeboye is bereft of the wisdom of any kind. You may be wondering how I arrived at this conclusion, but that would not be far-fetched!

Sometime last year, Pastor Leke Adeboye granted an interview in which he was asked to describe how his father Pastor Enoch Adeboye unwinds. Leke among other things replied that his father loves watching James Bond 007 and that they have about 50 collections of James Bond films, yet there is only 26 of James Bond Series in all! It is either Leke is ignorant or simply exaggerating to impress or lying at the same time, which is not good, attributes of a pastor or any responsible individual.

During the heated debate on tithe which every minister including the GO himself struggled in vain to biblically justify the need for collecting tithe (a discussion for another time), Leke Adeboye went on air to announce that RCCG recorded some percentage increase in tithe. The questions one should ask are:

1. What is Leke Adeboye’s position in the RCCG structure to make such statement?
2. Where does a Personal Assistant to a CEO make a media comment on sensitive matters of an organization?
3. Does it mean the RCCG as big as it is, lacks an organizational structure that the Personal assistant to the General Overseer could make a comment on the financial status of the church?
Ideally, this should be the responsibility of the senior executives, Head of finance, the GO or corporate affairs department hence, If it were to be a serious organization, Leke would have been sanctioned or relieved of his position for making such careless and reckless statement.

As if that was not bad enough, Leke also displayed his ignorance in his message to the needy members of RCCG who approached the church for help. In truth, while Leke has his freedom of expression, but it is increasingly becoming more glaring by the day that he grossly lacks the intellect, decorum, charisma, and courtesy expected of somebody of his caliber.
Most times, it is so disheartening hearing what comes out anytime Leke opens his mouth-not a manifestation of the fruit of the spirit( Gal5:22-23). For instance, he could have kept quiet if the church was not willing to assist; rather, he went on air to call those poor, help-seeking members jokers and even maliciously compared their ambitions to study abroad to going for world cup after suggesting they revert to trade by barter in the 21st century! I guess Leke does not know that silence can be golden at times.

Pastor Leke please place your numerous vituperations on the scale of Ephesians 4:29 Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

Lately, and perhaps in an apparent reference to daddy Freeze whom Leke advised to trade his wristwatch for a pair of glasses to see that RCCG donated books to some schools. While this is pettiness, grossly childish and irresponsible of a son of a highly revered man of God, I see a systemic failure in the RCCG management since it appears the poor guy is out of control because he is certainly overwhelmed by the demand of the office and cannot to cope which is what you get when a greenhorn occupies a sensitive position!

If Leke is wise, he should be busy searching the scriptures to help the GO provide answers to the following questions:
1. If tithe is mandatory or a criterion for heaven, why didn’t Christ emphasize it?
2. If seed and first fruit are Christian doctrines, why didn’t Jesus preach or practice it?
3. Jesus taught in the synagogue yet He did not mention tithe; why?
4. Where in the Bible the Jesus or the Apostle used sentiments and emotions to answer their critics?

For the spiritually naïve and scripturally ignorant, there is no iota of truth in the sentiments that desperate men and women of God preach about attacking the church of God. It will be an effort in futility for any man to attack the church because Jesus settled this matter some 2000 years ago according to Matt 16:18 “….and on this rock will I build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it”

In effect, God does not need the help of any Reverend, pastor, GO, Apostle or Bishop, to fight his cause. Actually, the scripture charged every Christian including all these leaders of faith to work out their salvation with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12) hence no one is exempted.

I’ll, therefore, suggest to Pastor Leke Adeboye to make time to carefully read and meditate over James 3:2, Colossians 4:4; Proverbs 15:4; Proverbs 15:28; Matthew 21:23 and if the need be, please be humble to go back to the believers class for a fresh start!

Shalom!

you may find two articles useful for these questions

    1. If tithe is mandatory or a criterion for heaven, why didn’t Christ emphasize it?

    3. Jesus taught in the synagogue yet He did not mention tithe; why?

This boy called Leke is not at fault because he gets everything needed on a platter of Gold. Even if this guy doesn’t work for his entire life, at least he will surely inherit from his father source which he collected from the impoverished members.

Again who ordained this guy as a Pastor? for the fact that your father claimed to be a Pastor does not give you automatic ticket to become a Pastor. You have to be divinely called to do this job or get a source of revelation to proceed through the course of evangelism. I don’t understand how the congregation don’t get this that, this is not an automatic position, it is only God who appoints Pastor. There are lots of Reverend or Pastor sons who never qualify to be among quires let alone becoming a Pastor. I have never witnessed where a real Pastor will turn his back on the needy and tell them to go and look for a job while forcing those poor people to pay their tithe so that he can smile at his bank account.

Getting a Barton from your Dad means nothing. It really shows your Dad wants to transfer his wealth to you. We all came into this world nakedly so shall we depart nakedly. The only thing God will judge us for, is our interaction between one another. How we love, help and serves him. Why can’t we help each other even if it by spreading and sharing the tithe among the poor?. This is what Jesus did when he fed 5000 people. Most of our men of God nowadays have taken that aspect out of their Bible.
