Nigerian First Lady Patience Jonathan Grammar Error Caused By Lack Of Primary & Secondary School Education” – Comedian Ali Baba

Nigerian comedian Alibaba in a recent interview on Hip TV blasts First Lady Dame Patience Jonathan for her recent grammatical blunder on national TV.

Ali Baba said the First Lady lacks basic education and that is why her grammar is very poor.

there is God o patience jonathan

He further lay emphasis on the importance of Girl-Child education in the country
comedian ali baba

In his own words;

“The education of the girl child is very important because if Patience Jonathan were educated, we will not have the problem that people think we have with her not being able to speak English”.

“Having a primary and secondary education helps a child to develop (into) whatever the child wants to become later. It is obvious that Patience (Jonathan) did not get any of the above, or did not get it properly”.

Please Nigerians should leave the first lady alone. Let her enjoy her remaining month in Aso Rock.

Oga Jonathan, it’s not a crime that you married an illiterate woman but the crime you committed was not being able to tame her as a proper ‘first lady of Nigeria’ Even anybody can marry a mad woman but you must not allow chain to be far away from you. However, in the case of Oga Jonathan, your wife is a control freak who does not know where to draw the lines perse.

I think “being educated” and “uneducated” need to be redefined. I think people are mixing stuff up. My understanding of being educated does not mean “not speaking english”. We can see around the world many other world leaders, Markel of Germany, Iranian leader, Saudi king, French prez, many eastern EU countries, Russia etc. These folks dont speak english.

The problem with Nigerians is they love ridiculing their kind. However, i still blame her and her husband for not making proper arragement or planned. The fact is she doesnt really have to speak english in any of her public speeches. She can always speak her native dialect with translation runing underneath. That would save any embarrasment from loud mouth bigots. French president doesnt speak english, yet, he holds publich forum and ppl understand him, isnt? Same with Markel. At the UN, we see evidence of this. So u folks really need to zip it. She doesnt have “education” but she attains what many would never dream of.

So you folks talking about she’s not educated bcus she cant speak english need to tell us what is the real definnition of education. My definition education is “understnding your tasks, duties, and well informed”. English is just a language. So you guys mixing thing up.

Thank you for this full length explanation. God bless you. Most Nigerians think understanding & speaking English Language is proof of education. Madam Patience is perfectly educated and fluent in her native language and communicates very well with it. She understands the needs of her people, that is what I call education.
It’s about that the press and ‘aproko’ people of Nigeria start to appreciate Dr, Mrs Patience Jonathan and forget English language. English is not our mother/father language. We should start using our own language around the world just like the Chinese, the French, the Germans, the Russians, the Spanish, the Americans….. the lists go on…. where is one/any African language in the list?
Must every person in the world speak English language? It’s Ok to know English language but it must not be forced on anyone who already has a language. Let all of the above try and learn ours, you backward press and bigots.

FYI, English is Nigeria official language and as the wife of the President of a Nation u are expected to be able to express iyourself fluently but let me even agreE with you that speaking in English is not that important , why in God name would the wife of the president brEak down and cry on national tv where she does not have any business being in the first place, what constitutional right does she have calling a security meeting. Let me ask you what cogent point did you pick out of that meeting? As the wife of the president there is a level of emotional control expected from her, her husband is the president, the symbol of the strength of the nation she is expected to radiate that and give hope to the mothers of the kidnapped instead she broke down helplessly saying trash on national tv, so if your definition of education is “understanding your tasks, duties and well informed” then she is a stark illiterate and Mr President just lost my vote.

Most of the world leaders today, can not even make a simple sentence in English language. In some part of europe, america, asia etc. Don’t even speak english when addressing the public, so what is ur problem gentleman? As long as u understand what she was trying to say there is no problem sir, after all english is not our language, its a borrowed language. Enough of all these criticism.

I am not a fan of PJ but we have to remember that the ones that can speak English along with the ones that cannot speak are equally stealing the country blind everywhere including the military and police. That is why some fools can cart away 230+ girls without resistance in a supposed civilized society.

When i(yoruba) was campaigning for Pat Utomi some years back….a man who i do not know personally but whom i know his track record. All i heard was uhhh he does not know about politics, even his village people say he has not spent money for them. I thought, this is why the county is dying. We need to do away with the political thieving thugs and godfathers and replace with technocrats with proven integrity. Until then, we are doomed.

It’s really sad that the standard in the moral of our nation (Nigerian ) has fallen enormously to decadent level, otherwise how else can you explain the support given to the so called “first lady” in regards her grammatical error .Education is wealth regardless of what ever language you communicate in. All the leaders you guys have mentioned that do not speak English are very coherent and articulate ….let’s be honest can we say the same of the so called first lady…what legacy are you then leaving for your children and their generation? You want to tell them its okay not to be properly educated.
Let us call a spade a spade and stop all these sycophantic tendencies. This is what is dragging Nigerian backwards some people are now so used to abnormalities and maladmistration in Nigeria, that when they see good behaviour it becomes abnormal to them like what Ali Baba was trying to explain in regards (PJ) and when they see abnormal behaviour they condone and praise it like that of the so called first lady. Ladies and gentlemen what is wrong is wrong….let us all have one voice and to be able to move this nation forward.

Yes let’s get things straight here. This woman didn’t go to school, but she is the mother of our nation as it is now, and she deserves some respect.
Also, drawing inferences from other countries and their languages to compare same to English isn’t compatible. These people have their languages and have to learn English like we here. So whether they speak English or not in their public speeches is irrelevant.

Oga Jonathan, it is not a crime to marry an illiterate woman but the crime you committed was your inability to control your so called First Lady. Tnx a thousand, Olamide. Just wat I needed to find. U rili understand d basis of wat’s at hand. English is a “must speak” for us cuz we didn’t tag it as “official language” for no reason at all. D president nd his wife being d major representatives of d whole nation shuld excel in dat area, but den, just wat do we get? A woman who brings disgrace upon d whole nation by her actions nd ignorant expressions. Wat exactly were doz cries for in d first place? If she is cryin, wat den shuld d modaz of doz galz do? Its silly wen I even think abt it, God knows. I mean, she as d first lady shuld be an embodiment of support to d president as he’s facin challenges while d president himself figures ways to deal wiv doz challenges.

Most of us #nigerians# are so shallow minded..though speaking correct english isn’t a prove of u being educated but I tink its a foundation in education and it goes along with ur IQ…this is a #nation# for heaven’s sake and the 1st of lady can’t express and comport herself on a national as a result of her low IQ..let’s forget about her english..having watched the scene u could deduced from her actions that she is so ignorant..when we are suppose to be talking about the missing girls we are here talking about the 1st the 1st lady..they actually made average nigerians lack respect for the presidency cos they are not granded….

I sometimes wonder at d comments made by some people. In Russia, they speak Russian language and u don’t expect the president to speak english to the people that don’t understand it, Nigeria’s official language, just like in d U S and Britian is english, u don’t expect president Obama to. Speak french to Americans, likewise u don’t expect Nigerian ist lady or any public office holder to to speak pidgin english, english is Nigerian official language and means of communication, so if u want to hold public office or communicate, u should learn to speak good english. U don’t need to have interpreter in Nigeria, u can use that when u go to non english speaking countries

U people against the first lady should be proud of the president, he married his wife out of love long before he’s president, he showed what true love is, u don’t expect him to divorce his wife in the name of politics, they are met to be that’s y he was able to achieve his dream, no matter who a woman is literate or illiterate , the most important is for her to be a good and loving wife, with this kind of woman success is guarantee, never compromise her for someone else , Mr president you showed that you are truly a Christian , a good husband and a good example for others
