How long must this continue? TB Joshua’s case has not even been closed out yet we have another one in our hands. The site engineer should answer this.

I think is high time for our various state government most especially Lagos to come up with building/structure laws to protect innocent Nigerian people from dying untimely dead because of carelessness, greed, and wickedness our developers, building engineers, and building owners across our nation. There should set of rules, restrictions, and regulations that any building structure of more than one storey should conform to in order to save life. I think it will be far better and more effective for each state of the federation to comes up with its own structural laws and plan in this regard. Building engineers or civil engineer, developers and owners should be held responsible for any building collapse in any state. The penalty should not be limited to life in prison if anyone die in a collapsed building. In addition to that, they should be held responsible for the payments of millions of naira in compensation to the families of those killed. When the penalty and consequences of building a weak structure because of greed, fake materials, and sabotage outweigh the gains, people will do the right thing in Nigeria. It is so shameful that over 178 people died when TB Joshua church collapsed in Lagos state few years ago, and today , six innocent Nigerian were killed in another collapse building in Lagos state again. Please Gov. Ambode, do something to save some more lives in the future. Ilu Eko ko ni ba je lailai,ti a ba se ohun to to ati ti o ye. This is sad

Nigeria’s building industry needs to be regulated to put paid to this incessant menace of building collapse and avoidale deaths.
