  4. One thing I hate about Nigerians. They are extremely judgmental which saddens me. Indeed she may need help. But who are you to judge her? “Let he who’s never sinned be first to cast a stone”

  5. NIGERIA NIGERIA NIGERIA! You celebrated James Ibori, who stole billions from you, moved your funds across the Atlantic and lead a life of luxury in UK. Yet you made this poor woman your scapegoat. Nope, I’m not condoning what she did but come on now, you put her on blast because of only N10,000? AH-AHN! Have some compassion. I hope her family heals from this because I know there’s a stigma attached to stealing in Nigeria. I genuinely hope she gets help.

    • Vivienne…what is condemnable is worth condemning. Even though she needs help, does it mean she should shame herself in the public by stealing? in a supermarket for that matter. Does she not have mouth to request for financial help even if she’s seriously in need of help? A woman was broke in a market place near us here but requested for help but surprisingly she got more than what she needed from sympathizers. So why can’t that woman open her mouth and beg people for help? The only reason I will agree that she needs help is when she’s mentally unstable. Aside from that if she stole in her right state of mind, then she should face her penalty in the court because she stole deliberately. Let’s stop this habit of comparing those who steal to our corrupt politicians. Doing that will only serve to encourage people all the more to engage in stealing.
