A wealthy Nigerian pastor has paid a courtesy visit to Nigerians battling xenophobic attack in South Africa.
Fully loaded GO of Liberation & Miracle Ministries in Lagos, Chris Okafor visited the Nigerian consulate in Johannesburg after a mega crusade earlier this month.
From there, he went to meet injured victims of Xenophobia in Polokwane city, Limpopo where a Nigerian was killed and several others injured.
One of the lucky survivors, Mr Peter Idowu Kolawole who almost lost his right leg thanked Okafor for showing care to his fellow citizens.
A fashion designer, Kayode Showunmi who arrived South Africa a week before the attack lost his brother Razak Ajao to the attack but managed to escape with a deep cut on his manhood.
He said his late brother left behind a young widow, Basirat and 4 young children.
Here is what Pastor Okafor who was moved to tears told the suffering Nigerians:
“I never knew it was this bad. Nobody should have to go through this level of horror. We are brothers and should not do this to ourselves. If blacks are killing blacks, how can we then convince the world that ‘Black Lives Matter’?”
After donating a whopping $7,000 USD cash, he promised to return with more dollars and relief materials.
