The actress and mother of one had married her beau, Victor Coker, traditionally on February 20, 2016 at her father’s compound in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, with a few of her celebrity friends in attendance.

Speaking on her first marriage, Chinda said:

“One thing I regret most is the fact that I am divorced. Where I come from, I’m the first daughter. I’m from a royal family; it has never been on record in my family that the first daughter would walk out of her matrimonial home. But it was a matter of life and death, otherwise, I would have stayed back and make my marriage work.”

  1. Monalisa honestly I like everything about you but what you are saying now totally have no meaning. You know very well there’s no record of divorce in the royal family still you went ahead and made the history. What matters now is be happy with your present marriage and make it work this time, period.

  2. Nne pls stop. You just got married and should be enjoying your honeymoon not talking about your failed marriage.

Happy married life dear. Don’t ever stop dating this guy you’re married to because it makes the marriage fun and exciting.

  3. WELL, WHAT CAN I say? Divorce should not be about records, nor how the human society view that Western lifestyle. If it threatens your life, you may R U N N O F T. But running to another man/woman is where everybody gets it wrong.

  5. this simply means she does not love his current Hubby from her statement, if at all she did say something like that. if my wife say something I may divorce her or not show full love

  6. i do not think it a taboo in your family because if it were your father wouldn’t have allowed to get married to another man in his own compound… take care of your new husband and try to endure that just the key to a happy family.
don’t break the rules again but i must confess if you did not break that rule you wouldn’t have been among the big madam in nollywood industry because it seems that Is how you pple in the industry lives.

  7. It appears that lady Mona still have some feelings for her former husband. To my understanding, she doesn’t seems to like the second marriage much otherwise you don’t cry over spill milk in a relationship where you almost lost your life in abusive relationship as she has claimed.

Mona, be honest with yourself, you now realize that marriage is the same everywhere. Your present husband may not abuse you physically but is he giving you what Richard was giving you?. There is something you are missing from Richard Dejo. Just thinking aloud.

  8. Its your business anyways. You know exactly why you ran out of marriage. Make this one work ooo because we don’t want to hear you regret again.

  9. Why look backward when you are already holding the steering wheel and driving forward ? You are not your mother or any of your aunties so your marriage is not their marriage. Yours crashed and regret is counter productive at this point. Move forward towards the future and let the past remain firmly in the History Book!

  10. what made ur previous marriage not to work was money and influence which ur formal husband did not stop telling me shit bcus am not small boy.
