Saraki Hires 1500 Islamic Clerics, Alfas To Pray Him Out Of Corruption Trial
Sept 21, 2015 – Corruption Trial: Saraki Hires 1500 Islamic Clerics, Alfas To Pray For Him In Ilorin Kwara State
Troubled Senate President Bukola Saraki has employed the services of Islamic clerics in Kwara state to help him find spiritual solution to his political problem.
The head of Maja Elders Forum , the convener of the prayer Kayode Yusuf said:
“We in Kwara are powerless. The only thing we can do is to support him (Saraki) with prayers. We have no money, soldiers, police or any other security apparatus. We are just ordinary citizens of Kwara and Nigeria. But we in Kwara, especially in Ilorin, believe in the power of prayers.
“All of us in Ilorin, including the Chief Imam of Ilorin, are involved in the prayers. Saraki is our leader. He must not come down. Within the short time that he was elevated as the Senate President, we know what we have benefited from him.
“I have mobilised more than 500 Imans and over 1,000 others are praying in different areas. They have been praying and fasting. Even the women are praying for him. Saraki is our benefactor. Even the uneducated do not want anything to happen to Bukola Saraki. They are not sleeping but are also praying. The prayers will last till Saraki’s ordeal is over.”

I wonder when this crappy Nigerian mentality will disappear. Islam comes with a body of very strict rules about governance that condemns any form of corruption. The early islamic system of government in the 2nd century pioneered welfarism, accountability and development. I wonder where these charlatans come from with their ignorance…..you make war against God by disobeying Him through stealing from the poor and yet you suddenly hope to “command” the same God through prayers to come and defend you. Impunity has no end in Nigeria. Those clerics must have benefited from handouts while the kwara masses suffer. Saraki and others think good leadership is by passing a major roundabout in ilorin and throwing a wad of 500 naira notes for people to scrambble for, when in truth that money belongs to those people as monthly welfare support but the corrupt leaders have stashed all the money in personal accounts and properties. Prayers do not hold God hostage, He does His will at anytime without reckoning.

Our leaders will never cease to amaze me with their ludicrous behavior. I can’t believe that a learned person like Saraki can fool himself by hiring cleric men to pray for his wrong doing so that God will overlook his greediness and how he had subject many people to starvation by stealing their belongings. You know what? The money you are dashing out is for hastening people’s prayer and shows that your judgement is imminent.

No need to waste time commenting on the issue of those ignorant people praying for Saraki, did they consider the number of people in Kwara State that have been impoverished as a result of his stealing? The money belongs to the good people of Kwara.
God is not an unjust God,enough to all this bad leadership,god-fatherism,and bad governance.I plead with the good people of Nigeria to support this government in the fight against corruption irrespective of where or whom it starts from.
