Kano-based middle age gay guy identified as Faruk Maiduguri has been arrested for planning to wed another man identified as Abba in Kano.
Sharia Police arrested the groom and 14 guests half way into the wedding ceremony.
The Sharia police commander explains how they were busted; “we got intelligence report that some youth, all men were planning a wedding of two of their friends, and that Faruk and Abba (bride) had under the guise of celebrating Faruk’s birthday sent out invitation on WhatsApp and printed out cards that friends should join them in the epoch-making event.
The homosexual couple however denied the purported wedding ceremony claiming it was only a birthday party. The two are now facing 14 years jail term.
