In a press briefing at Freedom Park Lagos today, Professor Wole Soyinka disclosed that former US President Jimmy Carter got him his green card.
The Nobel laureate came hard on Nigerians criticizing his decision to dump the US after Donald Trump’s victory.
He added that his decision to dump the green card was personal and not the business of Nigerians insulting him on the social media.

It is the least expected of an intellectual like Professor Wole Soyinka, to call people imbeciles and morons. As everyone has the same freedom of speech, anywhere in the world. Yes, I agree with him that no one should query him for his decisions; however, you don’t put your personal issues on any social media and you don’t forsake your mother-land when things are getting tough because of bad administration of Nigeria’s resources by baby boomers when Nigeria was full with milk and honey. Let us get together to make Nigeria a better place for people coming afterwards.
