Soyinka: Obasanjo Is The Greatest Hypocritical Leader Nigeria Has Ever Produced
Wole Soyinka has called out former President Olusegun Obasanjo for trying to hijack the reform of change of leadership in Nigeria in 2019 with his new movement.
The Nobel Laureate who said Obasanjo has crossed the line urged Nigerians to stop glorifying his Coalition for Nigerian Movement (CNM).
Prof Soyinka made this known during an event in Abuja.
He said he would unveil a pamphlet on his position on Obasanjo and his movement on July 3 at the Freedom Park in Lagos.
His words:
“ As for Obasanjo, I have news for him. And it has been a progressive thing. You see me and Obasanjo fist to cuffs today and the following morning, you might see us embracing each other. Circumstances are always important and even when he was in power, if you could remember, there were numerous times when I had to criticize him.
“I believe Obasanjo has really crossed the red line because he is trying to put himself as the head of a recovery process. He is trying to hijack the recovery process in this nation and I say that he is one of the least worthy of one of the former heads of state to lead that kind of movement.
“ I have brought out a publication about that, the title is in Latin but it means; who watches the watchmen.
“That publication is coming out simply because I will like to see new blood in governance in this nation and I think these corrupt and hypocritical geriatrics should stop recycling themselves and they should stop trying to co-opt their former cronies to take over the reigns of governance in this nation.
“I invite you on July 3 to Freedom Park in Lagos when a little pamphlet would be published in which finally, we confront Obasanjo with events of the past which incidentally are not being newly articulated.
“This nation forgets very very fast … Obasanjo is one the greatest hypocritical leader this nation has ever produced.”

My prof please tell him. Dis Obasanjo is the one that installed Jonathan the looter,
He brought Okonjo Iweala from World bank, he helped Fayose and other corrupt politicians paying obeyance to him. He want to continue to put Nigeria in bondage and God will not let him.
Obasanjo is an enemy of progress in Nigeria, God must deal with him

OBJ was disappointed, not actually by Buhari or any Nigerian, but by the British government, all his efforts lately is to find out if he is still relevant in Nigeria because the British and other western world leaders have used and dump him, his master plan (as agreed) was after the death of Buhari,(I NEVER WISHED HIM DEATH ANYWAY) there will be more chaos and Osibanjo will take over which he will still be controlling, unfortunately, British never reveal to him their plan to present Buhari figure AS they refused to honor or go on with the original plan agreed with OBJ. THINGS ARE GOING ON UNDERGROUND.

Prosilient prof your position on OBJ is dialectically and politically sock-o, OBJ is of no use to himself ,to say the least about being useful to anybody or the nation. He should just park up and leave Nigeria alone. He is an immutable misanthrope.

I am very surprised to hear people like former president Obasanjo speaking for the common man. Nigerians never enjoy anything under his administration, not even electricity to put food in peoples table. Federal Unity Schools for common man were put up for sales if not for the intervention of God. We were ruled militantly. We wake up to a new hash increment in the sales of petrol in some days. Peoples views and opinions were not respected. Probably some Nigerians forget past sufferings under his administrations so easily but some of us never do. At this age, he should pray that the present administration works instead of ganging up with people of his like mind to go against it.

prof soyinka is telling us there is a recovery process in this fake administration and we all know obj is a crook as well.prof is not that credible these days.he speaks from both sides of the mouth.
