Tai Solarin, TASUED Graduate Stabbed Self To Death After Girlfriend Broke Up With Him
A young graduate of Tai Solarin University of Education, Oluwatosin Otaiku has killed himself.
33-year-old Oluwatosin stabbed himself to death in Onikolobo area of Abeokuta Ogun state on Saturday after his fiancee, one Oluwatoyin Olaogun broke up with him.
The incident took place on Saturday at Safari Junction in Onikolobo area of Abeokuta, when neighbours who heard about Oluwatoyin’s decision to break up with her lover called them to resolve their misunderstanding.
An eyewitness said Tosin had hidden a knife in his pocket during the mediation, which he eventually used to stab himself when he discovered that his fiancee was not ready to change her mind, despite the intervention of neighbours and friends.

Hear what his friends said;
“Tosin was immediately rushed to Mercy Hospital at Panseke from where he was referred to the Federal Medical Centre, FMC, Idi-Aba, Abeokuta, but he died on the way to the hospital. It was a rude shock to me,”.
“Come rain, come shine, Tosin would never be cowed by anybody and would never for any reason, change his decision. A day to his death, he had called me to explain what was happening between him and the lady. We spoke for about 11 minutes and I agreed to visit the two of them the following day to settle the discord between them, only to receive a phone call that he had killed himself. I can’t still believe it. Why would Tosin take such a terrible decision? I can’t explain it,” he narrated.
“When we were in school at TASUED in Ijagun, a similar thing happened. But for God’s mercy on him, he would have died. He drank kerosene when Ope, a student of Polytechnic, Ibadan, whom he was dating then, broke up with him. If not for God and some of us who rallied to save him then, he would have died. We were then living at Overcomers Hall, Imaweje, very close to Ijagun. Everybody was aware of that incident. You can check round to confirm this,”
Late Tosin was a motherless child from Odogbolu in Ogun state. He graduated from Tai Solarin University with a degree in Political Science back in 2010.
He worked as a managing director at a business centre in Onikolobo area of Abeokuta until his death.

I wonder why our people just address each issues either good or sad from there own perspective or thinking of which some can’t withstand half of what others are going through in Life. If you are in a peaceful and loving, caring relationship you would never experience the negative side of a relationship until its happens to you then the world is going to see and hear how you “going to respond to it.
Well, i am not here to condemn anybody’s action here or about the sad incident….. But instead of We Nigerian’s most especially the FEW that has opportunity to be a Graduate and not just a Graduate but making something out of it, to sit down and think professionally so as to understand the source and what leads to a shameful death like that rather they will come online to exercises the big big English they have learnt in school. what a shamefully and creepy generation we are now. Well i don’t blame most of them because they never had the opportunity to work in there own respected Field and course.. People just use there certificate to work so as to put food on there table.
Hmmm Well, as for Late Tosin i sadly respect your heroic action because first i believe before a man could make up his mind to take his own live that means he has put himself and other people to a state of shameful action that he could not bear seeing the people he has hurt.. and in the other side, When a trustworthy and honest man had put in all his effort to make things works out and at the end his reward was infidelity from his girlfriend( we never know how long they have been together and what he has risk because of her just to make her happy and keep focus…. But the society we live in now is so terrible that Married Men and women cheats,Rich man’s wife will flirt with his husband driver!!!! even Billionaire wife cheats. Human being doesn’t have any regard or respect for our feelings and affection again?????

I feel for this guy,he must have been a very emotional person but unfortunately for him,we are in a wicked world where people do not have sympathy for others,that is why it is important to date or marry people that are godly and compassionate,if u go for ungodly people they will hurt u without caring if u die,in psychiatric hospital u see a lot of people who ended up there because of heartbreak,one has to prayerful in life and be very careful who you give your heart to!

Some people think they can never kill themselves over a relationship,may the devil never remembers us,chronic depression is very bad and is neglected in nigeria,some people may take their life without even knowning,some people out of heartbreak has gone into serious drinking which may later destroy their system and lead to their death they have indirectly commited suicide without knowing,some may run mad,some may become very sad people all their life,we have to be prayerful and watch who u give u heart to!

I feel so sorry for the family of this guy. What a waste of pretty life all because of a girl.
In my own opinion, I don’t think killing ursf is the best solution for heartbreak when there are thousands of ladies out there that will not turn you down.
I don’t think dt u thought of how many people would have died of heartbreak before taking this horrible action that has no solution.
How i wish u can also think of what ur family and siblings will pass through just because of ur heartless decision

Let’s not take to one side of the story……..the so called Gf keep giving contradicting and fowl stories abt this issue as I speak from source, she told the family that Tosin found and took the knife from the shop to stab himself and then told the press he brought it out of his pocket to stabb himself. Recently the same gf brought her other cultist bf to fight tosin infront of his shop which led to both of dem using cutlass and bottle to exchange violence act. If truly Tosin stabbed himself, why did the policemen handling the case later called for settlement stating there’s no need for autopsy test and all and that they should come carry the corps, why did the So called Girls father traveled to Lagos to meet with d deceased(Tosin’s) father pleading in heavy tears like a child for settlement carrying along several church members of which @ first the Man even lied Tosin had no phone. Let’s reason from beyond getting to d fundamental truth of all and not just conclude blindly……Tosin happens to be my Bossom frnd and duo am not speaking to defend but to make us see to both side of the story……and Most of details given abt him are fake, his both parents are still alive and was living with dad in Lagos and mum stays in Mushin Lagos too before he relocated to abeokuta and he was trained from childhood by his Dad…..Why would pple give false news and details abt the dead….oga gann……May his sould rest in peace
