This is total madness, so if the so called princess is been flogged what the hell is the problem with that huh when a child is in the school is the duty of the teacher to be there him/her as a parent please please parent be careful on what you make your children think….. at the end of the day the child will be very rude to people him/her sees on the road knowing too well that the parent will come for rescue.

who is she that can not abide by the rules of the school? even Jesus Christ was beaten to death, infact is that Benin monarch educated at all? Then he should open a school at home for his children if he doesn't want his children to be corrected in school. let no foolish leader take such judgement because he is having an authority. Such can not happen in my place (Gboko) the king's palace will be set ablaze rather.

John, try to listen to urself before ur speak….Point of correction, U can not compare Bini monarch with ur gboko….okay….bini monarch has been in existence since 10 century…okay…..she is the grand daughter of the king….and the king probably, which am pretty sure that he doesn’t even know about the situation before those thugs went to the school…okay….The king will never approve of a thing like that…..Pls mind ur language….And for your information, the king is very educated and there is school inside the palace……

Yes a child should be discipline but not to the extent of inflecting injuries on that child in the name of correction.

Ib naija i totally agree wit u. Come to tink of it, d post said dat d princess sustained an injury, hmmm really got me wondering y it should get to dat xtent. and for those u dat said it happens only in naija, ask pple in d western countries, even a mother has no rit to flog her own child. 2ndly how would u feel if ur child comes home wit injuries in d name of correction? Tink b4 u ans. But honestly, i do ot support d actions from d thugs. i tink dia are better ways of addressin such. My opinion sha

For as long as we continue to have 2 sets of law; One for the rich and the other for the poor, Nigeria will always be where we are right now. the untouchables that would loot the treasury and get away with it because they are sacred Cows and the poor old boy! that steals and would get burnt alive because his father is not the monarch or well connected. Let’s bequeath a good legacy to the next generation. DO NOT SPARE THE ROD! SAVE THE NEXT GENERATION.

People, calm pls, reading whole lot of contributions one cannot help but notice that a lot of animosity is thrown at the Oba, point of correction, the writeup never said the Oba ordered any rowdiness or retribution at the school authority, secondly, capital punishment does not give any teacher the right or effrontery to battery, causing bodily harm to a child, what could she have done to be flogged to the extent of been injured? Kudos! to the school authority and teachers to take a beating for the perpetrator of this crime, this is because if they had ratted out the perpetrator, maybe he would have been killed, this should serve as a deterrent to abusive teachers who batter our kids in the name of correction/capital punishment.
