26-Year Old Woman Gives Birth To Baby Conceived From A 24-Year Old Frozen Embryo
Meet Miracle baby, Emma Wren Gibson.
He was born to a Tennessee based couple Tina and Benjamin Gibson on Saturday the 25th of November 2017.
Benjamin whose body cells were preserved by cryopreservation (freezing of human cells using solid carbon dioxide) back in 1992 was transferred to his mother’s womb early 2017 through FET (Frozen Embryo Transfer).
Emma who was conceived 18 months after 26-year-old Tina Gibson was born was donated to the National Embryo Donation Center (NEDC) by an unnamed woman in 1992 where he has been since then.
NEDC hopes that the Gibsons story will encourage more couples to donate embryos to help more families looking for children.
